Alan Didak will never be a good DT player or a good player on the field ever again.

Ziplock

just to say, everyone said that about Davis this year- and dids is a far more proven DTer than him.

Voldemort

Alan Didak DT stats for since avging 90 or more (except for 2011)

2008   CO   18   1706   94.7
2009   CO   17   1746   102.7
2010   CO   20   1980   99
2011   CO   17   1250   73.5

He will most likely get back up, but is it a risk worth taking?

Ziplock

honestly, I think so. I don't know if I will, he doesn't seem to fit my structure, but, if you can slide him in, looks the goods if he shows any in NAB.

elephants

No. Already have...

Shaw
Swan
Pendles
Cloke

Plus maybe a rook as pies players.

That's a big call, and short sighted IMO......he's been a proven player over a long period

Last season he started badly underdone and then was injured for an extended period

pretty much sums it all up.

There are alot of old premiums in the forward line depends on how much risk you want. Guys like Dids, Brown and Voldt you know all have the game, if they all go through a good pre-season and nab i will pick them all up. At this stage Dids is behind Brown, Jroo, Cloke and about even with Nroo i only really want 4 of those guys.

Ziplock

... our forward line sounds a bit similar holz :P

Tom Riddlle has a sense of humour lol

.....that'll open up a whole new can of worms if we start discussing "missy"

Torpedo10

I know it's a big call but it's what I think.I'm not going to pick him this year and if he does awesome and you guys picked him up then you guys made the better choice. I just don't think Alan Didak will perform this year.

Yep, can't agree more. Didak's terrible 2011 was entirely caused by his lack of a preseason and injury, which will hopefully not be a problem in 2012. If he stays fit and firing, Didak will be as good as ever in 2012. Plenty of players have made impressive comebacks from bad injury plagued seasons, some of whom have been older than Didak.
