Yeah spot training doesn't work that well I would know....

I did 150 sit-ups a night for 2 years
Did you notice results or?

or did you have a pillow on your abdomen?

Oh there were pretty strong muscles  ::)

It just didn't really look like it or show up on the scales

plus I was just 14 so I don't think it had the same effect as it would with adults

and I was a permanent red line across my abdomen from all the sit-ups  :(

General exercise is better I would say

CrowsFan

Cristiano Ronaldo does 1000 sit ups a day ;)

doing sit-ups is more muscular endurance as there isn't much load on the muscles, unless you tie a brick or 2 to your head or something :P

Depends on what you're trying to do.

188cm and 87kg.

Anyone know if that's healthy or not? I play footy, soccer and tennis/ Not much outside of that other than walking to work once a week (about 2km each way)

Thats a pretty good weight.  I have been quite skinny most of my life and hovered around 70-75kg (at 191cm).  I managed a few years ago to increase my weight to be 85-88kg which is a lot more healthy.  I can still afford to put on another 5-10kg (up to 95kg) and still be in a healthy range.

Boomz

Not a fan of push ups/sit ups but that's just me :P

Well build/define my muscles.

McRooster

At my peak I was doing 600/700 sit-ups a day. The afternoon session consisted of various sets and difficulties and half were always using a swiss or medicine ball. Incline or hanging off a table burns and builds the most. If you use a dumbell behind your head you can really burn your triceps too as you incline.

Roost in a happy place...

I go and have dinner and look what happens - it turns in to nude photos of Rooster.
*Warning - this next image may offend  ;)

Semi naked maybe more akin to this forums PG rating  ;D
