about 4 years ago i lost 26kg in 10 weeks, just "stubborn prick mentality" id taken over a business i was 110kg at my worst and i knew it had to go and i was sick of it... i basically ran every night after work (missed two days in the 10 weeks) ate fish, yoghurt, fruit and veg only in small meals regularly... at first i ran around the block 600m the next night i did two laps after a week i was doing 2.2km a night... for the last 6 weeks i was running 5km a night, id doubt its a credible program or diet but what it showed me is i can do anything if im prepared to be a "stubborn prick" about it >:( im still around the 84kg mark so its stayed off 8)

Oh there were pretty strong muscles  ::)

It just didn't really look like it or show up on the scales

plus I was just 14 so I don't think it had the same effect as it would with adults

and I was a permanent red line across my abdomen from all the sit-ups  :(

General exercise is better I would say
Alright. well I was thinking about doing sit ups and push upa every night, but if you don't think it is worth it?
Depends on what you're trying to do.
Well build/define my muscles.
push-ups are good, not a fan of sit-ups though

try doing planking for ab exercise (not the ridiculous fad planking, although depending how you do it it could be effective :P) by laying stomach down and supporting yourself on your elbows/forearms, while only having them and your feet touch the ground, it's actually pretty hard to do for an extended period (provided you keep your body straight, like a plank ;))

I still can't work out how it is possible that I am 15kg heavier than you :P

roo boys!

This thread has been very good reading, keep it up guys 8)

I don't really need to lose weight, but I do need to work on my endurance. You'd think playing 4 seasons on the ball in footy would help :P, but I still get tired pretty early.

Are you school age hawka??
I'm 177cm and 57kg, 15yo. Don't really do any exercise apart from playing tennis twice per week and cricket all day Sunday. And like you, eating doesn't seem to make me put on any weight.

CrowsFan

I'm 184cm and in January was weighing a hefty 105kg. I had put on weight over summer since soccer had stopped and had gone home to my mums cooking which is delicious. Decided I needed to lose weight and managed to get down to around the 91-92kg mark which was great. Hadn't weighed that little in a few years really! Then I tore the ligaments in my ankle and so was unable to do exercise and so put back on a lot of the weight I had worked so hard to lose. So now back up at 99kg, but am able to exercise again (exercise bike/cross trainer, no running yet) so will be working on getting that back down to around the 90kg mark :)

There's a little luxury that our school has. They are called Laptops. Or a more common name is a computer. Just about every site is blocked, but not ff, DreamTeam, SC, or FTP! ;D ;D

That explains why i'm online alot. ;)

Oh geez Valk, now i gotta buy dogs. Your advice is spot on mate. The most important part of your post, is not quitting, Thats where most  us fall down. Well me anyway. Good onya Nails keep it up

The added bonus of dogs is that they look after your house when you are out ;)
yeah i know mate, i;ve got a sheperd, but he's nearly11 and deaf as a door nail. Regardless i'm out there every afternoon/ night rain, hail or shine (He's my best mate and never back answers me)

Thought i was your best mate, so what if i dont take a dump on your lawn and roll over.

Excersise i like to do is getting on the punching bag, regular visits to it will see the weight come off, skipping is a good one to believe it or not and for low impact if you can swim get to a pool. Good onya mate hope you go well, as Valk said just sticking to something and a regular effort will see you succeed with a good diet.

RiOtChEsS

these days i ride an ex bike most days a week min of 30mins just to keep my heart active, i really thrashed my already thrashed knees doing those road runs...

Thats tough luck CF its hard when ur body lets u down and ur able to fluctuate easily, if i eat crap and dont do anything for a week i could stack on 5kgs :( hope ur ankle gets back to full mobility soon ;)
