Pakistan's former Test captain Salman Butt, 27, was sentenced to 30 months in prison

fast bowler Mohammad Asif, 28, was given a 12-month term behind bars for plotting to bowl deliberate no-balls in the Lord's Test against England last year.

Fast bowler Mohammad Amir, 19, was jailed for six months after he pleaded guilty to bowling two intentional no-balls.

The corrupt UK-based sports agent who shadily choreographed the fixing scandal, Mazhar Majeed, 36, was jailed for two years and eight months.

It the most severe punishment ever handed out to corrupt cricketers.

They did perpetuate fraud. From what I hear the death penalty was a possibility, so that was probably light.

This wasn't about cheating. This was no different to insider trading in the stock markets, and you go to jail for that. Good call.
