i am going to claim the term premium donut :) exactly as Ringo explained :) i'm having 2 mid priced donuts, would prefer rookie donuts tho. I want conca and christensen in lines where i also want 2 premiums on the same byes.

looks like conca going to be suspended for the first 2-4 weeks tho so i might have lake or armstrong instead sigh, was so sold on conca. not enough to have him on the bench for 2-4 weeks, hopefully it is 4 weeks and i can get him on the bubble after his 2nd game.

any disasters for your teams players yet Ringo?

DEF: B. Goddard, B. Deledio, H. Shaw, R. Murphy, B. Lake, T. Mohr, S. Morris (B. Smedts, B. Wilkes)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, A. Swallow, J. Selwood, M. Barlow, S. Clifton, D. Shiel (L. Brown, D. Zorko)
RUC: Z. Smith, M. Leuenberger (J. Giles, O. Stephenson)
FWD: M. Pavlich, L. Franklin, A. Goodes, S. Sidebottom, J. Brown, A. Treloar, H. Crozier (S. Rowe, T. Couch)
CASH LEFT: $8,100

Very good team:
Def: Murphy I wouldnt pick personally as he seems to be on a scoring dip in his career. Lake has been discussed a lot on here and we will have to wait and see ob a bargain if fit. I do understand the dogs picks re byes. Is Smedts going to be a lock down defender cant be good for his scoring if he is.
Mid: Very solid but no Swan or Pendles I guess for the byes you are choosing Selwood instead.
Ruc: Different indeed with Z Smith not sure hes ready yet to give you a premium ruck ave otherwise great.
For: Very solid sidebum will be competing with a very deep midfield at Pies BUT we have to develop a deeper midfield to have a chance to win it all again so you would think he would get the time there surely?
Overall cant really falut it with the exception of above mentioned points. 8.5/10

The aforementioned comments are right imo.
It is a solid team, but no real standout line. Which is probably a blessing as you have spent your money equally.
Your first 3 picks in each line are great and cannot fault.
Just monitor Lake, Barlow and Brown - but apart from that, nice team mate 9/10

SonsOfZeus

thanks for the bye info

are you planning on the byes bcause honestly is to much of a headache for me atm

i have 1 prem from each and will hopefully have 2 from each come bye team
have 1 prem from diffirent bye week in ruck
in fwds have 1 in week 1 2 in week 2 and 2 in week 3
in def have 0 from week 1 1 from 2 and 3 from week 3

its all to much might just try to get as many scoring players as possible and go from there.

i plan on going all out attacking trades wise prob use 15-20 up until the end of the byes to have team set straight away.

what about yourself.

Ringo

To let you know my strategy - I have a final team in mind and any trades I make will be made to achieve that team.
My trading structure is looking at 5/6 trades to Round 10 and hopefully have team set for no trades Round 11 and then 3 each trades for Round 12 & 13. 4/6 trades to Round 20 with a minimum of 6 trades for finals.

Ringo

With Brown missing for 2 weeks took the opportunity to re structure my team.

Comments Welcome as I have structured  a 3/3 mid this time.  Not totally convinced but do not mind this structure.  Byes Taken into Consideration with Prems.  Rookies will not be finalised until after NAB Cup as I need three top rookies in mids. Have also the DPP to move if not working out.

DEF: B. Goddard, B. Deledio, H. Shaw, R. Murphy, D. Heppell, B. Ellis, S. Darley (S. Morris, B. Smedts)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, M. Boyd, J. Selwood, J. Caddy, S. Clifton, D. Shiel (D. Zorko, J. Magner)
RUC: Z. Smith, M. Leuenberger (J. Giles, O. Stephenson)
FWD: L. Franklin, A. Goodes, B. Harvey, S. Sidebottom, P. Dangerfield, D. Pfeiffer, T. Walsh (H. Crozier, A. Hall)

Comments welcome.

Is Z Smith a keeper?

Caddy worth the extra coin? I figure he'll have to average about 16.7 points more per game than a rookie priced player.

No def/mid DPP? May come in handy when Goddard and Lids are out. If you keep Caddy then having that DPP won't help b/c of Ablett but if you trade Caddy out or don't get him you may save a donut there in round 13.

Minimum 6 trades for finals - I love that.  ;)

i like danger better for SC than brown by a fair way, lets hope he FINALLY reaches his potential....
your defence is super strong, great money will be made in your midfield and i rate caddy to score well along the way, fwds like your def super strong. Rucks i like except smith looked well undercooked in the nab cup, cant read too much into it but watch him, it is VERY unusual for ANY ruck to be good for 4-5 years..... I did like west however and he seems a lock for #1 at the cattery...

solid side fwds and def being stronger than most will easily make up for decreased scoring capacity in the midfield and caddy is a SC BARGAIN cheaper than DT.... must have imo. He is my 5th but my fwd and def look nowhere near as good as yours :)

felsty

what are the plans for the rucks ringo? i got hmac and leuey and thinking i might have to trade hmac out before byes
loving the side but tor is right about caddy.. there are other young players who will be just as good for a lower price tag..
not too sure about murphy and danger either but im thinking they are to combat byes?
all in all a solid side
9/10 not much left but to wait! the hardest part :S

Ringo

With Smith hoping like last year he performs from the start and then upgrade him to best ruck when he peaks. may be a keeper if he maintains a high average. So many Ruck options out there this year with Mummy, Cox, Sandi, Goldi and i rate Jacobs as well.

McBayne

I was so sold on J Brown, it's a damn shame that he's going to be out now. Who knows how well he will come back from facial injury #3 ...

As for your new team:

- DEF: I seem to go for Murphy every year, and I seem to regret the selection after about round 5 or 6. He seems like a player with the goods but yo-yo's a bit too much for my liking. I can really only see Heppell getting better with experience, so I think he's a must have this year. I'm a bit iffy on having both Ellis and Morris in the same team, one or the other for me (my preference is Morris).

- MID: Caddy seems like an interesting pick, Essendon did go pretty hard on him during trade week and with only a year to run on his contract he may look to impress other clubs if he's still keen on a move back to Victoria.

- RUCK: Solid ruck, Smith should improve this year pushing him into the premium category.

- FWD: Careful with Walsh, reports are that he may be in and out of the Swans side, and Dangerfield will scare plenty of people off with his poor previous years, but with Craigy gone he will (finally) get some decent midfield time.

Quality side which should go the distance.

Backs: no issues asside maybe consider a (def/mid) for future use

Mids: Fantastic!

Rucks: no complaints - im assuming smith will be an upgrade at some point?

Forwards: probably the weakest of all four lines maybe room for improvement on the rookies, not to sure about crozier and walsh, pfeiffer is a 50 50 for scoring decently but plently of time before the season yet

Rating: 9/10
