Assuming Shaw is out, i would go for option a or b. I think you need to get rid of him or Spurr.

If you play reasonably easy opoonents in the next 2 weeks in your most important league/leagues, wait for Carrots or Fisher. If you have some good opponents then i would be more inclined to go for Suckling.

Are you going for overall?
Not going for overall to answer your question.  In fact a lot of you newbies are probably ranked higher than I am.

As a I said Slammer leaning towards Option 3.

Just can not decode on one of three options

Team as it stands for this week with 4 trades and $204k

DEF: B. Goddard, B. Deledio M. Johnson, D Heppell ,P Hanley, G Broughton, S Darley, (S.Shaw, L.Spurr)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, N Dal Santo, T. Rockliff, , M Priddis, A Treloar , J Selwood, (S Gibson,S Pendlebury)
RUC: S Jacobs, J. Giles (,J Reddan, O Stephenson)
FWD: L. Franklin,  D. Martin; B Harvey, , P. Dangerfield, A Goodes, D Zorko  S Sidebottom,  (A Sexton, H Crozier )
Trying to decide whether to finish def by
a) Trade Shaw to Suckling this week
b) Waiting a week or 2 for Carazzo or Fisher to bottom out
or
c) sit and rotate Shaw, Darley and Spurr through D7 until finals.

Favouring c but Suckling and Carrots bit hard to ignore.

Any advice welcome.  Team not as strong as I hoped but due to the caranage with injuries is the best I can do but not alone in this. 2 trades down on where I wanted to be as a result.

For information siting 3rd 4th, 8th, 10th and 11th in leagues. I game out of 8 in last 2 but % OK. Final League (11th) is very competitive and ranked in Top 20 overall

Hey Ringo

I would maybe look to the following options:

Spurr --> Hibberd
Take out hibberd's 15 when he went down with a hammy and he's avergaing 89. Has a good role for supercoach. however BE is high @ 147 and will come down in price more.

Spurr --> Houli
I brought in Houli this week for Malceski. Personally I think he's gonna be in for a big 2nd half of the year. Big risk though. However sometimes with risk comes reward.

Spurr --> Howard
Howards last 2 scores have been high 80's after coming back from R1 injury. Seem to push into the midfield and looks pretty solid. Again, big risk, however could pay off. This would also leave you with some $95k.

I also only have 3 trades left which I am keeping for finals NO MATTER WHAT.

Good luck for the rest of the year. Your team is pretty solid in other lines.

PS - I think you need to keep Shaw for the rest of the year as bench cover. Darley will be in and out of the side and Spurr probably wont play another game. I also got sucked into Spurr but offloaded him to Heppell a few weeks ago.

The story of supercoach this year,  Started with Paine and then traded him to Spurr and have not been able to getout due to other issues. Like the Spurr . Hibberd suggestion and will look at.

Just a bit wary of Howard but may have another look this week as his last 2 scores have been his highest in 9 games.  Was used as sub a couple of times last year and not sure whether that will continue.

Too right Ringo! and to rub salt in the wounds... Paine has been named to play this week!!!

Spurr might be a chance this week if Broughton is a late withdrawal due to concussion.

Hibberd or Houli probably the safest options IMO.

I would have brought Hibberd into my team this week but I was about $10k short.

Hopefully Houli pays off!!!

charliesheen

I would just take Suckling or Rance now.

Suckling has GCFC in R21, so could be rested.  If he isn't rested you can guarantee yourself a 100 score.

Rance should score decent with Dylan Grimes back.  Has no chance of being rested.

Ringo

Thanks CS will probably take Rance and just see who offers the best upgrade but leaning towards Darley due to GCS resting polocy..

Ringo

Just thought I would update
Round 15 score 2277 Overall Ranking 9755
3 trades left.
Team:
DEF: B. Goddard, B. Deledio M. Johnson, D Heppell ,P Hanley, G Broughton, A. Rance, (S.Shaw, L.Spurr)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, N Dal Santo, T. Rockliff,  M Priddis, J Selwood, S Gibson,(S Pendlebury; H Crozier)
RUC: S Jacobs, J. Giles (J Reddan, O Stephenson)
FWD: L. Franklin, B Harvey, P. Dangerfield, A Goodes, D Zorko  S Sidebottom, A Treloar(A Sexton, D. Martin)

With 3 trades basically sitting. Is this the right move at this stage.

colmullet

yeah i would probably sit, there's no glaring problems or injuries you have to fix.....i have 3 trades left aswell but have Zaha and Goodes is looking mighty tempting....but 2 trades seems awfully risky to

Ringo

Have had Hanley since Round 1 and finally repaying the faith.

charliesheen

Thats the 2nd time you nailed someone from BL.  Though I did convince you away from Redden.

Rocky has been a bit disappointing, 2013 probably be his year when everyone jumps off :D

and we all jumped on Zorko. With Black now a week to week proposition you are correct that Rocky may be value next year just so long as Voss does not play him up forward a lot of the time as we have seen this year.

Ringo

Scored 2189 last week with 2 donuts. Ranked 10k overall.

Siting 13th, 4th, 9th, 5th, 8th in leagues. (All very competive leagues with all ranked inside the top 300 and 1 in top 20). Just want to finish as best I can in all leagues and beat last years ranking which was 15k.
This is the team I have had for the last 2 weeks with 2 trades and $73k cash remaining

Team:
DEF: B. Goddard, B. Deledio M. Johnson, D Heppell ,P Hanley, G Broughton, A. Rance, (S.Shaw, L.Spurr)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, N Dal Santo, T. Rockliff,  M Priddis, J Selwood, S Pendlebury; ( H Crozier, S Gibson)
RUC: S Jacobs, J. Giles (J Reddan, O Stephenson)
FWD: L. Franklin, B Harvey, P. Dangerfield, A Goodes, D Zorko  S Sidebottom, D. Martin (A Treloar;A Sexton)

Will probably continue sitting to finals as I think a reasonable team if I make it. 4th and 9th (on percentage) in the leagues that matter to me. Trying to resist temptation to upgrade Giles now.
As I see it 2 final 2 upgrades need to be rucks and defence but will hold out in case of injuries.

Due to injuries etc which have flowered us all this year Final Team not what I desired.

With Rocky playing a fair bit forward this year hoping he gets a Mid/Forward DPP next year and all will jump on.

Ringo

With a score of 2263 and 2 donuts last week dropped to 12k.

League positions: 6,6,8 % only (Teams 7 to 13 all on 32 points) 9 (outside 8 on %) and 13th

With Broughton out for rest of season time to use a trade doing Broughton to Harbrow as a POD. leaving Team as

DEF: B. Goddard, B. Deledio M. Johnson, D Heppell ,P Hanley, J Harbrow, A. Rance, (S.Shaw, L.Spurr)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, N Dal Santo, T. Rockliff,  M Priddis, J Selwood, S Pendlebury; ( H Crozier, S Gibson)
RUC: S Jacobs, J. Giles (J Reddan, O Stephenson)
FWD: L. Franklin, B Harvey, P. Dangerfield, A Goodes, D Zorko  S Sidebottom, D. Martin (A Treloar;T Couch)

Leaves one trade do I burn it on Franklin to Beams/Pavlich or sit on it.  Think I will sit.
