Malceski will be cheap.  Problem is I just don't trust LARS, and I think the people are now moving away from this surgery.

I see ~4 people able to push their average to ~115 and beyond.

1. Selwood (due to concussion)
2. Mundy (between rounds 1-10 had the 2nd HIGHEST average behind pendlebury of ~120, before his leg).
3. Rockliff (started the year slowly then was unstoppable).
4. A.Swallow (is at the right age ~25, has a good schedule, just needs to get rid of the 70's)

Maybe I have missed some others but those are the main ones.  Whether all 4 do it, is certainly possible.

Murphy has a very very good schedule, and has a very good standard deviation, his price barely goes through a massive trough like Judd.

From rounds 11-15, Carlton play

Round 11. Geelong Cats
Round 12. West Coast Eagles
Bye
Round 13. Hawthorn
Round 14. Collingwood

Which happen to be the most miserly teams when it comes to super coach scoring.  So there is a legitimate reason for starting some of the Carlton mids in round 1.

Have updated Team in first post. Will be updating periodically based on comments and pre- season. Unfortunately I will be in the US when SC opens in Feb so will finalise team on my return

MTTY

Backs: Very unique backline i must say Ringo. Goddard and Gibbs as your two solid scorers, i am having similar ideas with Darling as you are with Puopolo. Malceski is iffy after his constant injuries and price is still fairly high if i'm correct. Lester is quality and seeing as your a Brisbane supporter good to see you've recognised that, unfortunate with his injury this year cam out of no where.

Midfield: Pendles, Murphy and Selwood are all great picks, however Goodes in the midfield is a questionable let alone forward considering he may spend less time in the Swans midfield and play more as a permanent forward coudl reduce his points, however in the midfield there are better options for that price. Redden could up his game in SC further this season and is a tackling machie which is always good.

Rucks: West will imo be the full-time ruck and based on his consistentcy last season will be a good pick at that price. Maric is a little bit expensive at that price for your bench it may be worth while putting in Stnaley (R/F) for now and having a R/F in your forwards such as Ryder or Kruezer.

Forwards: Lot of value in the forwards this season good to see you've utilised it i have a similar plan in my mind. Brown is questionable but will be a good pick if he can regain fitness, however with the way double teaming has got he may be like Riewoldt with the game surpassing him. Fyfe and Cloke both solid, while Adams will be a good unique with the time he has in the middle in some games.

Thanks MTTY - You will note in my second Team posted I have replaced Malceski with Rhyce Shaw as a possible unique going on how he finished the season with an average above 100 for the last 6 games.
Goodes nay become Mundy just seeing how Mundy performs in the NAB cup with Goodes being an upgrade target when his price bottoms out if he follows previous years by coming good in the back half of the season.
Take your point with Maric but rationale was to have 3 playing rucks to cover byes without expensive DPP Stanley a bit expensive at $194k for this purpose. Will consider if we end up with another rookie DPP like Joel Tippett at a rookie price.

Keep the faith with Brownie he is doing his first full pre season in 10 years and looks extremely fit. He has gone to Arizona as part of a small Lions contingent as well. (Merrett, Brown, Rockliff, Black and Adcock)

Do you have any thoughts on Dustin Martin this year still got him under consideration but got a little burnt last season

Big fan of R.Shaw very underated for his ability and points scoring in SC. Yeah it tends to be a trend with Goodes to start poorly. I get the logic for Maric and is very good alternative to the DPP suggestion.

My opinion on Martin is as long as Cotchin is in the team Martin is less likely to cop a tag, Martin seems to only score low when he is tagged so the logic points to him being a good pick especially hwo he has performed with only two pre-seasons another will only make him better.

TEAM NAME: Ringos Stars
DEF: B. Deledio, B. Gibbs, P. Puopolo, H. Grundy, A. Selwood, J. Lisle, M. Talia (S. Docherty, M. Buntine)
MID: M. Murphy, J. Selwood, J. Watson, J. Redden, A. Christensen, C. Wingard (D. Shiel, D. Tyson)

FWD: L. Franklin, T. Cloke, L. Adams, P. Dangerfield, J. Brown, J. Porplyzia, A. Saad (D. Zorko, W. Hoskin-Elliott)
CASH LEFT: $46,100

Whilst FF was down created another mock up team.

Thoughts on this team especially unique Ruck Structure.

SAMCRO

In that team ^^ I don't like the Puopolo, Grundy, Selwood combo down back. I'd downgrade one and upgrade another.

In the 4th November team, pretty solid all round. West and Adams may be a masterstroke. Or it may backfire. Badly.

Have updated Team as a result of change in FF Magic Number to come within Salary Cap. (Also updated in first post)

Please feel free to comment on this updated team:

Obviusly Rookies will depend on pre season. One may become Rowe who is not yet listed on FF,

I had a look at the new FF planner.  I'm just going to ignore these byes, imo, it's just going to influence my decision too much again.

If I get a donut, I get a donut, imo, its going to be very difficult to dodge them next year.

I reckon if D.Zorko and T.Dickson get M/F that would make them both extremely appealing.  The bombers were really disappointed about missing on Dickson.

L.Adam is an interesting pick and I think has potential with some mid field numbers.

I think you might be paying overs for Buntine, Wingard, WHE and potentially Morabito.  Its a pretty big investment to have all 4.

Who do you think will fall in as the top 7 forwards for next year?  I have Pavlich in it, and if you want to pick him, you need to pick him early before he fades in 2nd half.

Ringo

Not factoring in  byes atm as it will do your head in trying to make a team.  Just waiting to see the rules that come out and am structuring team without bye consideration at the moment.  This team was a result of changed values.  Do you think I have gone too strong in mids.  Based it on the fact that mids were the higher scoring potential this year. may come undone this year.

I to am hoping Zorko retains his current m/f dpp listing. Also was considering Dickson.

As I said rookies will change as a result of pre season and who is named.

With forwards interesting Top 7 from this year in order Franklin, Goodes, Fyfe, Steve Johnson, Pavlich, O'Keefe Chapman with Boomer Harvey just behind. All except Johnson and Franklin have a duel mid as well. Out of those I think Chapman may fall as well,  Goodes finishes strong but does not start well.  Maybe start Pav and then as he peaks trade to Goodes!! but then Goodes is getting on a bit as well.

tferrier18

Goodes isn't 'getting on'

Either is boomer

They're both very very fit and as we saw this season are capable of playing 22 games. I'd expect both of those two to play 20+ games nxt year

charliesheen

Did you have a look at the new pricing of West, Maric, & Hmac, etc?  If its only 10% discount, I would probably avoid them.

Lets assume Sandilands/Mumford/Golstein/Cox/etc.  average ~115 sc before the upgrades start occurring.

West would have to average ~95 sc to break even, and 100+ to give you extra ground over a premium ruck.  Thats using the magic number used by monty.  I guess its possible, but he will have to start the season firing, rather than building up.

These are the mid field numbers for 2010 vs 2011 if your are interested

average      2010/2011
90-100    19/23
100-110      13/11
110-115      5/6
115-120      3/4
120+      2/3

I think the bigger change in numbers was after 2009.  2010 and 2011 slight increase.

Ringo

Yes Charlie looking at that and as you and I know will change minds dozens of times between now and kick off but just enjoying some good old discussion pre season.

West may become Mummie, Goldie or Cox with Buntine, Wingard and co punted for lower priced rookies. Happy with Giles and Stephenson.  Can not see us playing Longer unless injury strikes Berger or Hudson.

charliesheen

btw, I like your 5 premium mids.  thats what my team is looking like atm, though bit worried it might mean I'm short on cash cows  :-\.  will have to go light in forward or backs depending on preseason.

who knows it could be the forwards that kill it next year (zorko, dickson, porplyzia, wilks, etc.)

Ringo

Have updated yet again to remove Gibbs as Back and made a few other changes.

Rucks will probably be set and forget unless injury or form changes things.
Rookies again subject to change based on pre season
