Alot of people do, mainly because of the image that North has now. Which is frustrating. :-\

I love statistics, they are the best way to win an argument. That and a gun. >:D

Norths record over the last 10 15 years is a irrelevant as the amount of Brownlow medals that were won (which wan't a good argument :P.)

I don't see how Norths forwards are better than ours. Sorry. Also even R&B admits that their running backs are pretty shower while ours are not as shower :P

i have to agree i think both your running backs and backs beat ours, i think our mids and rucks win easy at full strength and your forward line has more depth but petrie helps even it out.

exactly petrie is better than any forward Essendon have at the moment, its just who will join him we need one of Hmac, Edwards or pedo to lift to another level.

Why do people think Hmac will just be able to just start playing as a full time forward....Really can't see it happening/working well.

wont happen immediately but when he rested up forward in the past he looked OK, petrie didn't start off too good a forward and now this year he made the AA as a forward. Hmac is a very talented player and he was probably a top 5 ruck before he got injured, if anyone can do it HMAC can. There is a decent chance it could be a big failure but he could play a similar role to Clark, Nic Nat even Ryder. I guess we wont know until halfway through next season.

he might start off slow but I think he will work into it, that's why im abit cautious to say north will beat Essendon round 1, it will take time to get the dynamic balanced, but i can see it happening. Worse can scenario is we have to play him in the 2s and we have probably the best backup ruck in the comp (not playing afl) for when goldy gets tired or injured (hopefully not)

Yeah, Essendon's backs are better than ours, until we see how big Will Sieracowski goes (I'm pretty sure I didn't get the name right :-\ That's going to be a tough one to type each week!)

As for HMac...I suppose we can compare this to Schrodinger's cat ;) We will never know until we open the box...
