We are just arguing about who will win in round 1 even though we know Essendon will win ;D.The players I put in deserved it even more than the players that were already there.

Torpedo10

Essendon also beat Geelong who are the premiers. North lost to Geelong by 63 points ... Ouch that lost must have hurt.

Roos beat essendon who beat gellong and gellong won the cup.

In all serious though, should be a big game next year with 2 teams that could be playing in the finals.

The last time I checked Essendon were Higher than North on the ladder. Who has 16 premierships, Essendon and how many premierships do North have Four, We have four times they amount of premierships you have. Who won the Rising Star this year, Dyson Heppell a Essendon player. Essendon have the better players and they will win.

I wouldn't get me started with past history. Especially when it comes to Essendon and North Melbourne.  >:(

Also Holz that is the worst logic I have ever seen.
If Team A wins the premiership, who is beaten by Team B when Team A had a lot of 1 week injuries, and Team C beats Team B, does that make Team C better than Team A? NO
Take each game on its own and dont try and link them to make a mediocre team in North Melbourne look slighty better then dog shower.

it was making fun of the comment that  Essendon beat gellong who were the premiers and they crushed the roos so that would mean Essendon are much better.  For the reasons you mentioned above

roo boys!

No. But it makes team C better than team B ;)

When Essendon played North Essendon were stacked with injury's. And I think it would be good to started on past history between Essendon and North as we have won more than half of the games. It is a fact that 8 Brownlow medals have been won by Essendon players to North's 5.

Torpedo10

But RB team A is better than both of the teams.

PowerBug

Ok guys let's end the conversation.

Key Backline: Essendon win
Running backline: tie
Mids: Essendon win
Rucks: tie
Key Forwards: Slightly North.
Running forwards: Tie.

Verdict: Essendon.
Who'll win the actual match: North (Coz they just will)

How on earth does that have anything to do with what we are discussing? ::)

Hmmm ok PB. Not exactly sure I agree there but I'm not going to argue with a Port fan. Too easy :P

Ziplock

I rate norths rucks above essendons, and their mids will be at least equal this year, if not stronger for north. North's only real weak point is a lack of power in the backs :P

Alright, you asked for it. Let's look at the past 15 years of the modern game.

* North Melbourne shares the record with Geelong for the most consecutive preliminary finals made EVER with 7.
^ Corey McKernan would have won it in 1996 had he not been suspended.

Looking at that table, Essendon only win 5 catergories. Losses, Draws, No. of times they made finals, Brownlow medalists and Coleman medal winners.

North Melbourne wins 12 other categories. Statistics do not lie. North Melbourne are the better modern team.  :)

Oh and before you ask, why not the last 10 years? That's fine. North still has won more games and had more medalists.  :P
