The last time I checked Essendon were Higher than North on the ladder. Who has 16 premierships, Essendon and how many premierships do North have Four, We have four times they amount of premierships you have. Who won the Rising Star this year, Dyson Heppell a Essendon player. Essendon have the better players and they will win.

i dont think a premiership form 100 years ago will help you win round 1. Last year we played once and we won, plus if you want to bring up your rising star award i guess we could bring up our 3 AA nominations and 1 AA squad member compared to Essendons none.

Its stupid to bring up these things, we will just see who will win, i wouldnt be suprised to see esendon win this game as i think both teams are about equal on quality. Essendon probably have better KPP backs and forwards but roos have better mids and rucks.

I wouldn't get me started with past history. Especially when it comes to Essendon and North Melbourne.  >:(

The AA team had no Birchall, Scotland, Selwood, Fyfe, Gibson, Deledio, Stevie J and Scott Thompson. What does that tell you about the AA pickers. You guys have a better RUCKs but we will beat you in the FWDs, MIDs and BACKs.

full on war between North and Bomber supporters, enjoying it  8)

they all got nominated at least if all these guys got in they would have pushed out guys like glass, swan etc....
To me it tells me getting an AA nod is impressive to be above these guys.

AA selections can be a bit biased anyway ...

It is somewhat ironic that the supporters on FF hate each other when in fact, they should be supporting the same team :P

@ Holz, just about everyone who's anyone in footy will say Hurley will be a star if questioned.

Why compare goals when Petrie played as a full forward and Hurley as a CHF...Not to mention that Hurley played down back a fair bit this year.

Could Hurley swap down back and keep Jroo without a goal?
Could Pedobear take on Cloke in peak form and defeat him?

These are the questions you should ask yourself before making outlandish comments such as 'Pederson is better than Ryder' :-\

Actually, North wouldn't exist and it'd all be Essendon :P
This is what was going to happen at least...We backed out in the end but got some neat players from North...Until they went back :P

i don't think there is any hate, i like you guys i just disagree with some of the thing you say. Im sure you do the same with some of my roo comments. At least it shows essendon and roo fans are passionate about their teams.

We will see about Hurley im still skeptical, but i know there is a good chance he could be a star, at this stage he is just an average forward though. There have been heaps of players who liked they would be starts in the future some are and some become just average players.

Torpedo10

@ Holzman I will give you clear ins and outs for most of the players I just mentioned.

Robert Murphy-out  Grant Birchall or Heath Scotland - In
Dale Thomas- out   Joel Selwood- In
Drew Petrie- out Nathan Fyfe- In
Luke McPharlin-out Josh Gibson-In
Dane Swan- out Stevie J- In
Nick Dal Santo-out Scott Thompson-In
Swan would then replace Selwood and Selwood would replace Boyd on the bench.
