Well here's my first shot... Don't be too harsh  :P

Def: Goddard, Deledio, Gibbs, Fisher, Birchall, A. Browne, Bugg (Williams, Golds)

Mid: Pendlebury, Murphy, Priddis, Jack, Clifton, Shiel (Kavanagh, Ugle)

Ruck: Leuenberger, Kreuzer (Giles, McNamara)

Fwd: Fyfe, Pavlich, Cloke, Zaharakis, Ryder, Morabito, Porplyzia (Daw, Mitchell)

It needs some work  :-X Thoughts?

Justin Bieber

I think it's horrible :P.

Looks alright. Backline is strong, although never heard of Browne before ???.

Midfield and Rucks look good for now, especially Rucks if Kruez can step up as a Forward for the Blues.

Pav and Fyfe is an interesting combo! So is Zaha and Ryder (although if he and Kruez are MPP, then don't mind it). Looks good for a start up draft ;). Freo take up 3 of your forward positions, maybe 1 too many? Unless you like your Freo players ;).

Alex Browne as I just said on the chat  :) Pav is the one I'll probably end up cutting and try & squeeze in Buddy instead...

I like the setup, its well balanced.  You will just need to adjust premium:rookie ratios on each line based on where all the mature age recruits or best rookies are.  Then fill in gaps with a few mid pricers.

For example in 2011, there were a lot of good ones in the back line, so less premiums were ideal (stanley, martin, suckling, heppel, duigan, lower, etc...)

I also think you need at least one of Swan or Ablett to start the season, but I could be wrong.

Torpedo10

i think there could be better rookies but the premiums are all great. i think priddis is a pick that not many people will choose so should be a bit of smokey.

vossy12

how do you make a supercoach team?

Hey Boomz,

Hope you don't mind if I am too critical but these are just my opinions -

Backline - D1-D3 are great, doubts on who is going to be the free man at the Hawks with a full strength back line in place, which is why it is a sit and wait.  Heard Burgoyne may get that role with Suckling taking kick outs.  Heppell... Will he suffer 2nd year blues like many before him?  Seems a little overpriced to me.  Marty Clarke I think could be very good as I know he has bulked up this year and Buckley is considering him to help out Ball with the inside midfield work.  He is a tackling machine.
Midfield - Barlow is a risk worth taking, his 2010 numbers were outstanding.  Melksham is not good enough and is terribly priced.  He will not average 80+ this year.  Better off pocketing that 200k and upgrading Christensen to Buddy for example.  Gaff again is awkwardly priced and a 2nd year player.  Possibly look to a mature age recruit, Clifton for example and use that 200k to make T. West a Luey or Sandi.
Ruck - Only concern is T. West.  How much time will he see in the ruck?  With O. Steph getting drafted surely he will see plenty of game time thus affecting West's numbers.
Forward - Martin, Zaha, Robinson I can see averaging 100+ this year.  Sidebottom is awkwardly priced again but could work out.  Not sure why Cristensen is getting so much attention, just too many quality midfielders for him to shine just yet.  Turn him into Buddy or Cloke possibly.

Cant comment on rookies yet.  Its a wait and see come NAB Cup time.

Sorry if I rambled on.

Cheers

No problem mate. Wasn't expecting people to get the Melksham pick & Gaff I swapped for someone else earlier. Melksham is going to break out eventually and I'm hoping it's this year.

Have the same concerns about West... Will have to wait & see closer to the season.

Gibbs is a midfielder only this year I think.  Not a MPP.
