Interesting start of the year and of the year for North.

Round 1: North Melbourne v Essendon @ Etihad Stadium, Saturday night
Round 2: North Melbourne v GWS @ Etihad Stadium
Round 23: GWS v North Melbourne @ Blacktown

It's going to be great not only having a sell-out home game first up and two games against GWS, but a home game against GWS...how many are going to turn out to that?  :-\ There go the profits and more from the Round 1 game...  :(

Still, this is great news 8) Essendon are the team I love for us to play the most, the ones I want us to beat the most so it is great news to have them first round.

Also, hopefully GWS do turn out to be massive easybeats so that's a big advantage.

I never like to say that 1 match will define a teams season (especially not a Rd 1 match :o) but really, how the two teams come out could be a good indicator as to whether North will come into the 8 and whether we can stay there.
