Every time I try to put in the password it redirects me to 'everywherechat' and then I enter the name of the chatroom there and it shows a 'connecting' screen for ages  :-[

i go to first page, click link, click password, redirected to everywhere chat, type in fanfooty, find ffelite & join. right click guest & change name

Yeh, i've tried that a few times but it just shows 'connecting' and doesn't actually connect.

I don't know what browser you're using, maybe even just try a different one (if you haven't already tried that)?
