Not really too many surprises, i though Sellar might have been lucky considering our lack of ruckmen. I think Symes is also pretty lucky to stay on, let's hope he can find his form of a few years back.

truBLUE

just a one year deal for symes, he has no choice now must earn his stripes, alot of changes happening at crow city

Sellar let go because Crows are looking to bring in Ben Dowdell under the League's 'alternative talent' rule.

Bringing him in now for Sellar will allow Crows to prepare him for Tippett's departure. Someone down at West lakes must believe very strongly in the model of 'turning' a great B'ball player into a strong AFL player, let's hope it finally works.

But better for Brogan :P

Sellar will be picked up. He was a first round draft pick that over those years didnt get an oppourtunity. in the small number of games he played crows very rarely let him ruck.

Myke Cook also probably has the ability to go on at another club and James Craig apparanetly has a buttload of talent as a ruckman but he struggles with injuries

Re my Brogs comment:> Playing with the Adelaide 36ers in the National Basketball League, Brogan was part of the 1998 side that won the NBL championship. The following season he played with the Newcastle Falcons. He later quit the sport to focus on Australian rules.

Scott Pendlebury is a more of a natural that Brogan  :P

fyfe, as a crows and a bays fan, I was instantly a massive stellar fan when we picked him up, and have watched him closely since. The games that he played for Adelaide in the last few years have been as a back up ruckman, and he has struggled. He also played in ruck for glenelg every week that he wasn't playing for Adelaide and he struggled there too. Unfortunately he's run out of chances. I wouldn't be surprised if he did get picked up in the draft, but I don't think it will be a success. Wish him the best of luck though
