Martin lined up at full forward some times during games. People have no memory. Half way through the season people were comparing him to Leigh Matthews because of his midfield ability and sheer dominance when he was playing forward. Ablett kicks goals playing midfield. Martin kicks goals playing as a forward.

It was obvious that he wouldn't have been able to play as a forward for the GC though. He kicks goals for the GC starting as a mid. He should have been MPP in 2010, but they can't just change half way through the year. He didn't deserve MPP based on 2009.
