Bow come they only lost the one wicket but were 2/236?

Was poor grammar by PB.

"Well, after all that, the test match was played and finished. On the third day SA lost only one wicket and got home by 8 wickets.

^ That's what PB was meant to say, but yes, he said it VERY confusingly.
Yep, my mistake there :-[

On the Today show today, Tubby taylor was on and saying that the batting team gets to choose which roller gets used between innings. Then he said that the Aussies used the wrong one.

I hope your not saying i'm trying to make an excuse, coz i'm not.

Australian cricket needs to back up that performance by playing excatly the same side for the next test. They can't go around changing the side every test coz they lose. That is why they did so well for a long time, because they played the same squad and they all knew each other.

Only change that needs to be done: Marsh OUT if he injured, Khawaja IN at number 6. Ricky Ponting has to bat at three, Hussey 4, Pup 5.

and we will play exactly the same way

I don't think so Cic. Something like that only happens once in a very long time. But what will happen is the sqaud will become more of a unit, and you'll see the good performances come.

This is the exact attitude the selectors need

make the team for of a unit

also stop with the Australian Team bashing

English cricket rose up from the depths. Australia's position is nowhere near as bad

So stop acting like it

Cicjose

if its no where near as bad then what is being done to stop the slide..............

that's right nothing

TheMailman

Nothing can be done to "stop" the slide per se

only help minimalise it

Cicjose

if we had a performance based selection strategy we would never be in this situation

roo boys!

Peter Roebuck has just passed away while over in South Africa to cover these matches :'(
