Santa Claus is coming to town(O'Meara). All the GC will want a picture of them on his lap. Jesus is coming. The Saviour. GC's king

Im tipping Swallow will be the better player but with Swallow, O'Meara and Ablett you cant go too wrong.

You know, it must be a hard pill to swallow for the perenially struggling teams to see all these golden youngsters head towards Suns and Giants territory

i just feel sorry for port they deserve some good players going to them. The 2 new teams have really stuffed them up, one positive is they should get a top 3 pick next year.

Could not agree more more Holz and Ossie.  As it stands at the moment unless GWS trade away picks with latest trade Crouch they now have 11 of the first 14 picks even more generous than GC last year. Port is the one that is really suffering with this as they definitely need a couple of high draft picks to assist,

I wouldn't call Port a struggling team. Grand Final just 4 years ago, no-one to blame but themselves really. The Demons, Tigers, Roos... and even the Dogs and Dockers to a lesser degree... would really be hurting.

Ringo

Do you put them in the same category as us (Brisbane) ossie without bringing up our history.  We seem to a bit better placed to come out than Port though.

Personally I don't think Jaeger would have gone number 1 next year he would of been top 3 easily but there is someone who I have a was of him however they were not born between January and April so weren't eligible for the mini draft.

A little, but not as much. I agree, the Lions are in much better position. Too bad about their arrogant, uncompromising coach whose dream of instant success possibly crippled the club for years. But Rockliff, Redden, Rich, all great hope :)

Gotta Agree... Demons, Tigers and Roos haven't been that competitive over the past few years (bar the Roos this year I guess)

well it should only be in terms of the 2 comprimised drafts roos finished 9th and 9th so its not too bad for them. I didnt know port finshed 8th and what would have been last if no GC.  actually besides 2009 where they were 13th they havent been too bad with 4th, 7th, 13th 9th, 9th not premiership contenders but pretty simular to the swans.

its actually brisbane who have been really hit losing the 3rd and 4th pick. melbourne with 2 5th picks and richmond with 2nd and 6th.

I rate Jaeger higher than him although he is more hyped up ;). There are some very nice players next season and have my eyes on a few rookies already for 2013.
