Given North's continued insistance that McIntosh is a required player, I would've thought that he will be part of their solution for tall forwards next year, rotating with Goldstein?

yeah i think the plan is Hmac, Petrie and Edwards up front. Im worried about picking up a running back or another solid KPP backman.

Yeah, HMac will probably play at CHF, with Petrie at FF. Of course, it's going to be a tight tussle to fill those last four spots. Edwards will surely take one, as would Thomas and Hansen  ::), so who out of Maric and Campbell gets the last spot? Plus there's always fringe players like Harper, Warren, Ziebell, Black and McKinley to think about...not to mention Harvey and Pedersen.

As for the backline, we've got McMahon, Thompson, Urqhart, Firrito, Pratt, Grima and Pedersen. After that, there's isn't a whole lot. McMillian and the Delaney brothers? I wouldn't mind picking up another backline player to help them out. After all, Pratt and Firrito will be 29 next year....

Voldemort

dont know about Thomas in the forward line, maybe the coach will start to move him away from AFL into VFL and then into retirement? What's his age? He can't kick straight, so they wouldnt want him playing for them

Holz

I like it but fringe player ziebell. I rate him our 3rd best mid

I'm pretty sure that is the same thing they said about Cloke a year or so ago. Now look at him. Lindsay Thomas will definitely improve, he is only 23 after all. Still got a long career ahead.

Voldemort

Cloke is a tremendous athelete, is Thomas though?

I like our tall forward targets. Pedersen needs to play in the forward line, Hansen I want to be traded to Port for Pearce, but if we do have to keep him, he needs to lock down a position and play there all season. That's what makes so inconsistent, he is always switching between forward and back and can't get into a rhythm. Whether it be forward or back, choose one and whack him there.

I see our forward line next year as:
CHF   Harper/Harvey*     Pedersen/HMac**     Edwards
FF      Maric          Petrie           Thomas

*rotating one in the midfield, one HFF
**one on the bench/backing up Goldy in the ruck and one at CHF

This is why I want Matty Campbell traded to the Hawks, one of Harper/Harvey should be in the midfield or on a wing at all times,  Hansen as a backman hopefully.

Really want to fit Black in there, not sure if we will. Hopefully if Hansen does get traded we can turn one of these forwards into a defender (will probably be Pedo) and play Black. But I'm not sure about that. McKinley and Warren can play in the VFL, no worries there.

Also c4, Pratt's not going to be at the club next year, remember? He's up for trade at the moment, but if no-one picks him up he will be delisted, that's already been announced ;)

Could be an inspired choice! Like left field stuff like this

Here's hoping...

they obviously saw something that no one else did. Are they trying to find a replacement for Rawlings?

sounding like a barlow to me.

I would be happy if he can make our 22 though and hopefully can pick up maric stick hansen in the backline also or better yet trade him for a real defender. We need to replace pratt and firrito with young guys.

roo boys!

I'm pretty happy with that trade. If you watch him, he has good footskills and can play midfield or in defence. Can play on smalls or talls. Fills a void we need so I'm happy about that.

For such a late pick in a draft that is going to be very shallow, I don't really mind if it doesn't work out that well. When we're giving up basically peanuts, there's not much to lose. For a guy that's shown good potential, I like it.

Josh Caddy is apparently wanting to come to melbourne, i know he is a mid but do you think we should target him, i really rate him as a player.
