roo boys!

So, we're yet to make any moves on trade week yet, but we have been linked to a few players:

We are interested in Josh Toy from GC, but talks haven't progressed very far yet. Personally, I would love this trade as he went to my school so already a favourite player of mine haha :) Has a lot of potential.

We asked Melbourne about Addam Maric, yet to hear whether they will give him up or not. Funnily enough, Maric also went to my school :o WTF is going on here...lol

We have been linked to Jason Gram, yet Donald McDonald said "We didn't have any dialogue at all with St Kilda yesterday in regards to Jason."

So hasn't been ruled off. I think he would be a good pickup, but the public is split here.

Josh Toy would be a great pickup for North. Lot of potential and a good fit down back.

Gram, egh. Saints player. Watch out North Melbourne women.  :P lol.

As for Addam Maric, no thanks. Should be pushing hard for Jordan Lisle, there's a better player.

I'm still surprised North hasn't pushed for Connors, Pearce, Lisle or even do a deal with GWS to get Myles Sewell!!  :o

Im of the opinion that Gram would be a fantastic pick up.
Maric isn't really needed if you have Campbell and Thomas, although I rate Maric.

Donald McDonald what a name!

Kangaros have too many smalls although if they bring in Maric then can trade Campbell and a late draft pick to Hawthorn for Lisle?

Toy and Gram would be handy additions aswell

if it were me i would target gram and go after connors, i also would try and get as much as i could for hansen.

Yeah, we would only need Maric if we traded off Campbell (for Lisle hopefully)

My number one wish for trade week still is in the hope that we can pick up an established key backman, but that's looking more and more unlikely as we go :(

But, I'm fairly sure we will pick up Adam Tomlinson in the draft. There are a few other key position players that will go before him, he's likely to go end of first round/start of second round, but a friend of mine spoke to him (Tomlinson played for Trinity Grammar, who play against my school) and he said that North want to pick him up. I think he would be good to take with our first round draft pick.

He runs 15.1 on the beep test, very strong key position player too. The thing I really like about him is he is a great centre half back, all australian CHB from the national championships. But, he is also able to swing into the forward line and hold down a key position post there. The only thing that is a downfall is his inconsistency, but Hansen is also very inconsistent so I can see him replacing Hansen.

not going to happen in any means just out of interest would you go hartlett for HMac

roo boys!

No.

Certainly not going to happen, but even hypothetically I wouldn't accept that. He will get injured. Again.

Hmmm..... With Jolly reaching the end of his careeer, I'm surprised Collingwood haven't made a run at HMac.

How about Toovey and McCarthy for HMac? I'm serious! I'll call Eddie, if you call Brayshaw

Big call Os, a ruckman coming off 12 months of recovery from a knee loses a lot of currency.

I like HMac but it reeks of Corey McKernan going to Carlton, they aren't dissimiliar players in some ways.

Yeah, but a big body Cruise. And with the loss of Leigh Brown and Jolly slowing down... the Pies are suddenly remarkably light on big bodies.

Wood, McNamara, Ceglar... just don't seem ready to step into it. This is major concern!

According to the Herald Sun website, the Addam Maric to North Melbourne trade is pretty much a 'done deal'.

So now we'll have several small forwards (Campbell, Thomas, Edwards and Harvey to some extent) but only one key tall forward (Petrie).

Surely North Melbourne realise that we need a tall forward to compliment Petrie rather than another small forward!  ???

If Maric comes in, I'm really hoping it means that Campbell can be traded-on to Hawthorn for Lisle (which would be a win-win for both teams IMO).

However, with Gunston now at Hawthorn, would they want another small forward in Campbell? Maybe North has missed the boat here....

North Melbournes Finest

Gunston is 191cm and not really a small forward, I only see that as a + for getting Lisle, not a negative.

Given North's continued insistance that McIntosh is a required player, I would've thought that he will be part of their solution for tall forwards next year, rotating with Goldstein?

yeah i think the plan is Hmac, Petrie and Edwards up front. Im worried about picking up a running back or another solid KPP backman.
