Seeing how poorly Hawthorn trades... *cough* Josh Kennedy and Ben McGlynn *cough*

...I wouldn't be surprised if they gave Lisle and Ellis to North in return for a sack of rice and a couple blankets.  ;D

Kennedy is over-rated.

Does Josh Gibson ring a bell? one of the best defenders of the year, was at north last year, so the hawks arent all that crap at trading
Kennedy is incredibly underrated. You are just wrong there.

And Gibson was at Hawthorn last year too, we traded him to you in 2009.

I think kennedy was one of the best swans players this year. Didn't he lead the team for clearences this year?
He lead the LEAGUE in clearances. Hence why he is underrated.

tackles, I think, but he has so many avg games...
Jude Bolton lead the Swans in tackles.

Voldemort

that's right Jude Bolton, and was Gibson at Hawks last year?? Dun remember

Yep, he was. But no-one made a big deal about him back then....

Boomz

We have a troll by the looks of things :-X Kennedy is underrated & extremely good at what he does. Gunston would fit in well at the Hawks imo & obviously they think that too seeing as he's nominated them.

hawk_88

Not the only person to have that view on this forum, so not a troll.

He isn't flashy, but if you watch the clearances closely he dominates. Talk to any clearance/stoppage coach and they will tell you he is a massive headache for any opposition.

YAY SWANS PRAISE  ;D

Doesn't come too often   ::)

Sounds like the Hawks have dealed very well effectively giving up their 24th selection.

When you consider he was drafted using pick no 29 two years ago, the Crows have put in two years development and received basically no upside.

Fletch74

Great pick up for the Hawks. Very promising player.

Sad for the Crows, but he obviously didnt feel at home there, so Hawthorn benefit

he lead the league in clearances and contested possessions, is highly underrated.

Nice deal all round. Gunston essentially valued on potential so slightly speculative.

24 seems fair as we wouldn't have got a better deal in the actual draft and the drop by 7 in our later picks won't make that much difference.

Not bad either for Adelaide. Should enable them to trade for Crouch as well.

Agreed. Well done Hawks.

Maca24

If Hawks can get Gillies aswell then they will be looking pretty solid.

hawk_88

Should end up with a few picks to send Geelong if Lisle, Ladson or Renouf go through.

Think the aim will be to get two pre-listed players and a early second round pick for Ladson (pick to keep) and try and get whatever Geelong wants via Lisle or Renouf.
