Don't know how many of you are following this, but I am, and at the last update (end of round 15) Wells was leading Swallow 34 to 28.

With Swallow having the better finish to the year it's going to be a very close count, with Adams, Harvey, Petrie and Goldstein not far behind.

Wow! Just been announced that it's a tie between Wellsy and Swallow!

Spitta was 5 votes behind with two rounds to go, and he polled a four and then a one, while Wells didn't play the last week.

Very well deserved to both of them, had amazing seasons.

Two years in a row, huh? Wow 8)

Drew Petrie came runner up and Boomer came in third. Star studded list :D

In other awards, Cam Pedersen won the best first year player award, Swallow won the Supporters Choice Award, Petrie won the Jason McCartney jumper award for most courageous, Jamie Macmillan won the community award, Rawlings won the best clubman, Ziebell won the Northerners award and Anthony "Stevo" Stevens was inducted into the hall of fame. Loved Stevo!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!!!

Yes, he has had a season to prove the doubters wrong, that's for sure ;)

I watched it last night LIVE on kangaroos.com.au and it was a great medal count!

A big congratulations to both Swallow and Wellsy, both deserving winners after the stella year they both had.

Petrie, Boomer and Goldstein were unlucky to miss out, any one of the three would have also been deserving of the award.

CONGRATULATIONS AND GO ROOS!!

I watched it from round 11 onwards, have they always had that voting system? Seems kind of strange, I don't really like it, but I do like tradition so if it's traditional i'm fine with it.

I think that was the best possible outcome, I wanted Swallow to win but I also wanted Wells to have confidence going into next year, he's a confidence player and it's exactly what he needed for having a good year. Swallow was a gun all year, I like how the top 4 went, two young guys Wells and Swallow came first, and Boomer and Petrie runners up's, it's almost like the passing of the torch to our young guys.

Yeah same, it was. The speeches were great, Brad was inspiring and Stevo spoke very well too.
