After the finals last year I wrote him off - too old, too slow, had run out of on-field roles etc etc.

All credit to him, he squeezed out one more very good and successful year of football and who knows how long it will be how long before the winning Captain kicks the last goal in a Grand Final again. 

PS: Anyone know who was the last?

Nope. But, well done Lingy. Hopefully he can now concentrate on his modelling career. A great player and Captain.
