Lol. The Kennedy is worth far more than Swallow. Hopefully that was in jest :)

Swallow is an excellent midfielder, but midfielders are far easier to find and quicker to develop than quality key forwards like Kennedy

African or European?

As for Swallow not being in your 22, ya mad?
I'm with Ossie on that trade as well, in that scenario NM gives nothing and receives one of the best talls in the land. Something aint right there.
And like Ossie said JJ is worth a lot more than Swallow, as good as he is.

Well who would you omit from the side to fit Swallow in then?

I dont get the whle GC thing, when they cant pay their players in a few years they surely will trade them before their contract is up rather than letting them go. However that would casue the problem of the salry cap again, so what exactly do they do. Also out of interest RB, NMF and caveman would you give up wells for david?

Of course Gold Coast players could take pay cuts to keep them together, like what Collingwood will soon have to do.  ::)

As for David Swallow, there's no way North would give up Wellsy. Plus, I don't think Wellsy would even want to leave.

Also, as good as the boy is, he'd struggle to get into our best 22. Plus, WE DONT NEED ANOTHER MIDFIELDER!!!  >:( >:( >:(
He would certainly get in our best 22. Although we don't need another midfielder, we could always give up a fringe one and a pick to get him....so basically a midfielder for a midfielder... D.Swallow will be a champion, that's basically assured. He could be part of our awesome midfield in a few years time, Swallow, D.Swallow, JZ, Wells, Greenwood, Atley, Bastinac, Cunnington, Harper, Speight, MacMillan....

You cannot honestly think that Swallow would not be in your best 22.
If you think that, you've clearly no idea of his potential. IMO he'd only be behind Swallow and Wells.

to be honest i would think about omitting wells for swallow. David would play before everyone bar swallow, wells and ziebell at the moment and in a few year he may be better than some of those guys.

I would omit Cunnington/Atley before I dropped Wells......

You guys think Boomer is immortal or something? There are always injuries, so finding a spot from him won't be hard and in the long run it will simply be:

In D Swallow, Out: B Harvey.

Done.

Umm......yes? :P

They are different types of players, but it would still be a good swap. I have already pencilled in Kieran Harper to be the next Boomer in a few years time.  8)  Here's hoping

i agree boomer is immortal, but like RB says he is not in David's position, as much as i hate to say it even if it was basti out Swallow in i would be happy.

roo boys!

Surely guys like Cunnington/Atley/Richardson (if he's even in in the first place) would all make way before Basti ??? Despite being high draft picks, Basti has shown more potential.

yeah basti is one of my favourite i meant i would be willing to let bastinac go even though he is better than the rest of the mids. We have more than enough space for a guy like Swallow.  The thing is isnt basti closer to waht Swallows postion would be.

roo boys!

Yes, very similar position/role to play.

Obviously I am still dreaming that Swallow would walk out on GC and nominate North as his club of choice and we could basically get him for nothing....but that's a dream ;)
