I see the Lions are using their compensation pick this year. Would have thought they should save it since GWS get so many picks in the first round and so should wait till they would get a higher pick with it, such as next year...

They nominated for that at the beginning of the year.  Looks like the Herald Sun stuffed up the order as they didnt put in priority picks.  Here is the official list from the AFL.

I think port could get an extra 5 and it won't make a difference. Really we should trade off our picks and get some ready players. We've been relying on draft picks for too long now.

As an outsider, to look at that draft order one would think that either its a spelling error(s) or the comp amateur and it has been rigged. Shall we start placing the top 15?
