Doesn't look like Hirdy wants to trade much, but i just want one issue solved:

To be able to clearly identify our rucks to forwards and set our priorities.
Therefore if Hille and Ryder are rotating rucks, Belly better play in the fwd. If Hirdy is not willing to play a tall in the fwd now, then i hope he will soon, because most of our targets are small (Davey, Jetta, Monfries kinda).

Hamish Macintosh on the table i heard?
I disagree.
In the last half decade, how many times have you thought 'Gee, Essendon REALLY could have used another tall today' after watching us play?
Now, how many times have you thought 'Gee, Essendon REALLY could have used an elite midfielder today' after watching us play?

I've never heard of Jenkins :-X.

Our forwardline and Backline are set. We have depth in our Ruckman, although it'd be good to see Belly play. Midfield is our problem. Inside we are built fine with Watson, Hocking and Howlett doing a fine job. Outside is a different problem. We have some decent runners (Dempsey and Winderlich injured this season) but that is where we need a quality midfielder. I'm fine if we can pick one up in the draft. If Mitchell Grigg falls to us, we better pick him up otherwise, RAGE >:O. He's got a great kick on him which is the type of midfielder we need, who can spot up targets in the 50 and deliver it in well. Doubt we could trade for one but I have some hope we can.

Agree with most of that but still think we need a decent crumber up forward because davey isn't up to it & Jetta is better when he plays as a mid...

oh and while I'm in the mood of bashing Jon Ralph... http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/what-your-club-is-up-to-in-trade-week/story-fn6cisdj-1226158403636 check the essendon bit right at the bottom and tell me whats wrong  :-X

Should at least check our playing list if he doesn't have a clue  ::)

Come on the chat hp :P

With the money we have to throw around we should poach someone out of contract, Ball style :-X

DG

Jon Ralph is quickly become one of my least favourite writers. Just continuously writes garbage.

Koby Stevens is rumoured to want to come back to vic... Hope we make a play for him. I know we were keen on him when he was drafted.

Yeh a good Gippy Power boy.
Strong boy could be the thing we need. Him and Hocking together would free up Watson to play more outside.

Watson as an outside midfielder wouldn't be a pretty sight!

I know he is slow.. what I meant to say was it would relieve the pressure off Watson as an inside player..
Just came out wrong  :P

Hocking and Howlett did a great job this season doing that 8). Howlett really suprised me this season with his work rate on field.

Stevens could be good depth or play a half forward role? if we land Mitchell Grigg, he'll solve our outside midfield problems in the long term.

Maca24

Heppell will eventually play the outside role, but for now looks comfortable at half back.
Grigg will be great, as will Stevens. Hope we land them both.

Cookie Monster

In the latter part of the season Heppell played an outside role of the wing?

Correct, he did. But he played the majority of the season at half back and played better football from there IMO.

Cookie Monster

yeah i know, but he wasn't playing bad footy off the wing, good signs.

what we need is a creative midfielder, who can hit targets under pressure, anoter Heppell, but a midfielder.

Grigg is that man.

Torpedo10

Grigg is the guy we need to get. He will help the rest of the midfield alot.

Justin Bieber

I would say Wingard/Tyson but doubt that very much :P. Grigg should slip to us and if he does, we better jump on >:(. Hoskin-Elliot would be a great outside midfielder whereever he goes (top 10) and would have played in our pacey style of game :(

Maca24

We should trade somebody to GWS for a first round pick :P
Then we could have Wingard  8)
