Thought we could discuss Blue moves and potential ones in here...

Here is the first news ive heard and it involves Jarrod Waite... http://www.sportsnewsfirst.com.au/articles/2011/10/03/waite-and-carlton-talks-stall/

Boomz

Kane Lucas still hasn't signed and theres a few rumours around but think he'll re-sign soon... snf is run by player managers who like to pump up their players wouldn't believe much of the Waite story if he's managed by one of them.

ajjewell

I don't know if Waite would be much of a loss if we could get someone a couple of years younger, he is way to injury prone to have a significant impact on games

RiOtChEsS

yeah im honestly neutral as i think he could be massive for us can he stay healthy, but im just not confident he can string 22 together...

then when or is we traded him we could never get the value in return for his potential bcos of those setbacks he has had...

hopefully BOOMZ is on the money and its just an agenda driven article, he really isnt worth a 3year deal its too long...

perhaps a 2year deal with incentives/option for a 3rdyear if he can string X amount of games together :-\

Master Q

Waite seems a lot older than 28... I don't think he's the man we need though as he's injury prone  ::)

no blockbuster deals to be done this week by us...

Bower and Setanta arent really part of the bigger picture so anything we get for them r a bonus...

plugz19

thought freo might have been interested in bower tbh
and who would want setanta?

Voldemort

dont think anyone would want Setanta  :P ::)

RiOtChEsS

yeah the poor ole Setant could never get rid of those weird impulsive moves that leave everyone scratching their heads ;D

T-Bird taking the one when asking for two is something Waite should subscribe too :-X

Boomz

Setanta is too old to get any interest... Wouldn't mind Bower but he'd only be back up and he's probably looking for opportunities so... lol

What are you guys doing with McLean?

Would've thought the Giants would be interested

Apparently not a lot, paying him a showerload to play 2's ::)

I dont think we need a hell of a lot of moves we just need to get our guys healthy and develop our youth.

one piece of this article caught my eye...

“It was surprising, the club that called.”

Any club would be surprising really but still an odd comment that stood out...

Hmmm, a Victorian club hey?

Carlton: Would be amazing if it did, but he would fit in nicely. Highly doubt it.
Collingwood: You'd think are quite happy with Dawes and Cloke
Essendon: .... Could be a maybe? Lack a forward target
Geelong: Wouldn't think so, but maybe a shake at yet another flag? Still, Hawkins you'd think will be fine, and Pods is doing well
Hawthorn: Surely not with Gunston, Buddy and Roughy
Melbourne: Fevola-Jurrah forward line sounds exciting to me... maybe
North Melbourne: Aging Petrie.... again, wouldn't think so, but perhaps?
Richmond: Surely Jack Roo is set at FF, and they aren't in a position to make a flag run
St. Kilda: Now this is an interesting one. A Riewoldt-Fevola combo suddenly sounds like an ideal combo. But without a coach seems weird a big move like this...)
Western Bulldogs: Just lost B Hall.... Have a history of taking in the controversial players...

So for me the likelihood would be...

1. Western Bulldogs
2. Melbourne
3. St. Kilda
4. North Melbourne
5. Essendon
6. Richmond
7. Geelong
8. Carlton
9. Hawthorn
10. Collingwood

yeah i agree with all that ;) if the Demons dont land Clark it seems a possibility...

one things for sure nobody will trade for him they will go thru the drafts...

Rule out the WB as that wouldnt be "surprising"

for me: Carlton, Essendon, Collingwood, Geelong and Hawthorn r the "surprising" candidates
