Summary:

Brendon Goddard.  A man who needs know introduction.

Goddard has had a solid year, but by the lofty standards he set in 2009 and 2010, it was nothing more.  Through injury and early frustration in the year, Goddard wasn't playing like himself, even though his supercoach scores were still consistent.

He didn't quite have the beastly factor that he did in 2010, but definitely showed signs later in the year.

He seems to be one of those players that even when they don't play too well, they seem to crack a decent score.

Still the best defender in terms of supercoach.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on m0nty's fanplanner
Price: $572,900

Position: DEF/MID, though he is always a chance to lose his defence position.

Should be a good year for BJ, wonder how the unknown coach will play him.

Decision:

Wasn't as good this year, but still better than any other defender.  If he is defence, lock and load.  If he is only midfield, strong reservations.  Won't let you down.

Will you select Brendon Goddard in 2012?

Ringo

Locked as Defence if he looses Def then will have to reconsider and possibly not given the other Mids available at these prices.

Torpedo10

Hoping that he still has the MPP next year. If he does he is a lock. If he looses MID he is a lock. If he looses DEF you have to think about his price and if there are better players at that price(like what Ringo said).

+1

Chance of being a mid/fwd? :P surely if Gilbert was this season...

Torpedo10

@pyronerd. Unlikely. If they made him MID/FWD everybody would pick him. But we can always dream about him being MID/FWD :D

MTTY

Great write up JT. I will be getting him if he is some form of a back.

roo boys!

Like everyone else has said, if he is available in the backline he is locked.

newfreofan

Too much to ask that he be def/mid/for?  ;D

If they didn't do it this season surely they won't next season, otherwise he'd be in 300,000 teams :P

Torpedo10

Hoping Goddard gets back to 2010 form.

CrowsFan

JT you have got his average wrong. It was 107.86, not 102.33 like you are saying ;)

they should just name him utility and you can pick him anywhere on the field. Wouldnt mind seeing a ruck of Sandi and Goddard next year.
