Very, very poor by Freo

I feel sorry for Harves but it isn't poor by Freo.  How is Freo sacking Harves any different than Melbourne, Adelaide or the Bulldogs.  At the end of the day the club still sacked it coach - just that Freo did it swiftly and decisively, where as the other 3 clubs did it slowly and through the media.

I think the media has blown up the whole thing because they are upset that it didnt leak out first so they could get the scoop.  Notice a manager wasn't involved so nothing was said..... just sayin'

Well actually Craig quit himself, but I get your point valk. Just because no one could guess it was going to happen

Cicjose

its probably because of how swiftly we went about removing harvey

compared to the other coaches we have had

Don't think that's totally true... He hardly deserved to be sacked in comparison to the other coaches unless there was something else going on so that's a more valid reason... Lyon could be great for freo and it's a brave move but I don't think they will get to a premiership any quicker than they would have with Harvey who knew the list.

^ I'm with boomz
look at the failures by the other clubs, melbourne has been underperforming for years, and doesn't seem on the rise, adelaide was getting a thrashing, and dogs could never get up there, and then had a huge slide this year. Fair enough the coaches went.

Harvey just got shafted because there was nothing anyone could do. Fremantle finished badly (11/17 from memory), but they were absolutely ridiculously injury ravaged all season. It was a harsh move imo by the club, but I agree with boomz- I don't think they have a shot at being premiers until the club goes through the natural rebuilding stage, regardless of who's coaching.

What's worse, freo to flop now, and then rise to dominance in another 5 years, or for freo to just hold at around 7-10 for 5 years?

Admit it CF, Craig didn't quit, he was pushed. The media never tells the whole truth ;)

pushed to quit :P

Well yes he was obviously pushed to quit, but that is still better than being sacked.
I thought the way Adelaide and Craig handled it was very good as there was no bitterness between them in the end
