Scotty Thompson signs a 3 year deal

Great news :D

Although we do need another solid key defender, Thompson is more than capable of playing a genuine full back.

One of a number of players to re-sign this season, Brent Harvey, Drew Petrie, Aaron Edwards, Scott McMahon, Jamie Macmillan and Cameron Pedersen.

is a great FB for his age if he was playing at another club would get alot more attention. Its a pity tarrant keeps getitng injured could be a good combo.

Yeah I am afraid Tarrant probably isn't good enough if we want to take the next step. Think Lake could be massively important for us.

would you trade Hmac for lake though. If they were the same age i would di it but at lakes age not sure if its worth it. of course i would like a guy like like harry taylor but thats not going to happen. Cant think of too many good back that teams would give up. Hmac for one of port backs perhaps?

No, I wouldn't give up HMac for him.

I would give up Hansen and a pick (maybe 2nd or 3rd round)

That's the thing, with Lake at his age and history with injuries it's a bit of a gamble, so you don't want to really go and give up a star player.

Who do you think would suit us out of the Port backs?

The only ones I would consider would be Carlile and maybe Chaplin, but Carlile just signed a contract at Port.

i would definately prefer carlilie, not sure if i would trade Hmac for him though, Hmac has also just signed a contract and i think if we offered port the move they woulod take it.

Yeah, Carlile is pretty good, I must say.

But I doubt we would get him.
