Because the pitch is going to become hard later today ;)

but still 3 batters on aggressive against a team that will outrate you. I normally put a couple on defensive no matter what pitch just to stick around to try and prevent a collapse

Cicjose

does having batters on defensive who have Boundary Hitter and Accumulator talents cause the talent to occur more or is that just a myth?

cookie311993

i have not to sure cic as i have never had any of those players. Generally keeping them in the middle longer is the aim of the defensive tactics so theoretically they would have a greater chance to active the talent

I get annoyed when Budden's talent only activates once per game, then a spud from a bot team gets it 2 in an over!

MajorLazer

Having a BH or an accumulator on D means that there will be more dot balls for their talent to trigger on. Doesn't necessarily mean that the talent will trigger more though.

Well to win I am going to have to make a lot of runs on a hard pitch. The majority of his bowlers are spinners or mediums, hence why I chose the hard pitch and I am hoping that Ali can start the RR off quickly with some agressive play.

Brinkman is my best batsman, but has been getting out for very low scores at number 3, so I decided to drop him down to 5th and put him on agressive hoping that he can tear them apart when the bowlers get a bit tired.

I'd do 3N/8D personally. Whats with your ads? They are terribly positioned haha.
I'll give him 4N/8D ;) Want Winnfield coming on for the 11th over :)

Woops just realised I chose Uneven pitch, not Hard, so Ali changes to defensive and Brinkman to neutral. Chiba still on A to try and get some quick late runs.

In hindsight Uneven was probably a better pitch choice, as he has gun batsmen. Not sure why I thought I had changed it to Hard.

Here's hoping that he set his orders earlier today so hasn't seen the pitch change yet! (was Green so he may have played more mediums or something)

Master Q

Is there a limit to how late you can change the pitch before the game? As mine is changing 3 hours before the game, so will my new pitch apply?

Pretty sure it's just as long as the pitch has changed before half an hour before the game. So your's will be fine.

8-6 Suited

Pitches change 4 hours before games start. That is when it is Pitch Update.

I'll be doing Part 2 - match day orders tomorrow regarding this match as I will have the results to show it. However they will only be bowling as I am testing a batting theory out. :P

So am I ok?

Okay i am playing a bot in SOD and want to boost my NRR.

1 - N
2 - D
3 - N
4 - D
5 - A
6 - A
7 - A
8 - N
9 - D
10 - D
11 - D

Is this okay considering im playing on a flat and 5, 6 & 7 have reas, rel, rel power?

Justin Bieber

I'd say too many on A in the middle. I'd start with somebody on Aggressive and another in the middle order. Tail is fine for Defensive and maybe another on at 4 but don't want too many Batters on Defensive on a Flat against a Bot. I'd go for 3 on Neutral (1/2, 3 and 5/6). That SHOULD boost your NRR while giving you protection incase early wickets fall.
