unfortunately i wont get to start the game until 11pm due to work ::) makes the wait even more difficult...

8-6 Suited

West Coast by 30-40.

Loss of Gibbs has turned it in favour of West Coast imo.  He has been in outstanding form over the last couple of weeks and will be severely missed.

Unfortunately I think we might get done in a close one, just don't have a good feeling about it hopefully I am wrong though

roo boys!

Good first half! Looking forward to seeing how it pans out.

Awesome game pity about the result, was Walker unlucky in the goalsquare in the last little bit of the match?

Very unlucky! Had two men hanging off him  ::)

I think that it would of got paid during the H&A, it would of been a very game umpire to call it in a final

What a game. Truly worthy of a final. Epic stuff.

Exactly, last quarter you've got to earn everything and the umps weren't playing much after the first half. Professional players need to use their brain and realise I'm not going to win a game from a free kick. Walker was being held but he looked like he was more concerned with being held than trying to beat it. A game is played over 4 quarters, not one play.

ajjewell

Imo throwing the hands up and playing for a free kick is such a bad look, lots of players do it though and Walker was guilty of doing it in the goal square. It robbed him of the chance to take the mark and kick the winning goal but majority of the time that free would of been paid and there are alot of frees paid for less so you can't really blame them for trying

im not even gonna get into it, there were so many both ways that its insignificant...

completely agree with dont play for it, if ur sole objective is to win the ball the free kick will be more obvious...

PowerBug

I reckon that the Eagles will win in a close game :P :P

Lock the voting. ;)

being relatively impartial, i think the consensus is correct - H&A probably would have been given but last couple of minutes in a final = no way = correct call. (apart from them awarding a kick against Walker - I don't remember that, must've been caught up in the game  :o)

like Marcz said, lots both ways - i thought eagles were pretty stiff in that first 15mins ... at least 2-3 really bad decisions in that 1st qtr led to 1 or 2 Carlton goals ...   ;)

was an epic final - you get Waite and/or Kruezer back with a healthy Jamison and settled Hansen and you're looking good for top 4 next year.

not sure what Ratts is on about taggers looking at Judd and not at the ball - that's what a tagger is supposed to do - that's why Clint Jones and Dempster are elite taggers, cos they don't let their concentration slip much if at all - that's what elite NBA defenders do when they're guarding Kobe!  if Geish does make an umpires ruling on it, that would be a joke.  >:(

having said that, Ratts better get a contract extension or Carlton front office will be a joke.  ;)
