I think Mark Harvey is a perfect fit for Melbourne, he has the ability to develop and fast track youth and his no bullshower attitude towards effort and output was how he played the game, that has to be a massive attraction to Melbourne based on their current flaws.

I believe him to be the man Melbourne should appoint...

Who do u think is the right Coach for the job?

If they can't convince Malthouse to join them I reckon Harvey is the next best option, could do wonders with their list and improving their current standing in the league

YES! Someone else is posting topics!  ;)

But who would be best for melbourne, I would say Malthouse. But I really doubt we will get him, at the end of this year that is.
I think Mark Williams is a close second, because not only is he a premiership coach, he is a scary, intimidating figure that, in leigh mathews words, stare a tackle out of a player. I remember once, that he got so angry at port at a half time in some random match, the people who were there said "he scared the paint off the walls." lol
But really, Melbourne's chances of getting him is also slim i suppose, but  i think he is more realistic than malthouse.

Mark Harvey?....... yeah, he certainly wouldn't be bad for the club, but in my eyes he is not one of my most preferred.

By the way if anyone is interested, I have made a brownlow medal predictions comp over here: http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,42618.0.html

Come on melb fans! Get talking on this forum!

I think Matthews would be a better option than Williams for that style of coaching, especially if his position was more of a soccer managerial position, with his assistants doing more of the game day strategies and Matthews doing the pep talks and the like

roo boys!

I actually think Harvey would be better for Melb next year than waiting for Mick for season 2013!   :o

Harvey is almost the perfect fit at the right time for Melb.
Harvs would re-generate your list, cut the dead-wood and toughen the defence up.

I still can't see why Freo ditched him and so unceremoniously too!  :o   :(

looks like Burns will be frontrunner for Adelaide job now??
wonder if Harvey is interested in Bulldogs or Adelaide??   ;)

Anyone putting money on Ziplock? ;)

bomberboy0618

Ziplock is who I reckon will coach Adelaide :D
I want Harvey to coach again. Would be good at bulldogs I reckon.

Or current assistant Chris Connoly, also a freo coach who was sacked.

w0w i find it really odd they r going down this path with an untried coach again... a premiership assistant again ::)

im sure Neeld could be a terrific coach and strategically great, but given The D'z propensity to drop their bundles im not sure its a good fit...

doesnt really strike me as a motivator of people, have heard him speak too and i dont feel anything...

There is also a press article in Qld stating that it will be Neeld- Neil Craig double coaching act with Craig to be Senior Assistant. have not seen any other references anywhere but I suppose the reason for interest here was the hope Lions would get Craig as Director of Coaching.

Just noticed in the Hearld Sun this is also mentioned
"And it's set to be a double act at the Demons with former Adelaide coach Neil Craig likely to be Neeld's senior assistant.

I think its a great move personally we have players like Trengove, Jones, Sylvia and Dunn who all try to play that hard brand footy Neeld is known for now we finally have a coach who will inbrace and play that game style.

RiOtChEsS

i really hope he gets The D's up an about...
