I agree J, but Ross was all about loyalty. He clearly stated to his players about how important it was to be one team players....

i think he was loyal and committed to the club for the period, but once he made the 'end of an era' speech you sensed something was up ... loyalty goes both ways ... when Saints were baulking on offering him any more than a 1yr contract extension, that probably sent him a big signal - at that stage I thought if Melb were interested they could have offered him a similar deal to what Freo have (though i was thinking 5yrs) ...

I feel sorry for Harvey. I rate him as a coach, and he did not coach terribly this year considering Freo had the worst injury list in the comp.

Well think of could he have done wrong?

Not listen to anyone.
Do something bad that Freo don't want othewrs knowing about.

i just think they felt he had couldnt get them over the line...

getting one flag and bottoming out is better than finishing 5-10th annually so they r all in and if it goes to shower so be it...

also rekn there has to be more to it from the Saints side...

perhaps the public integrity spiels were attempts to corner and submit him to "their deal" or look like an @$$ as he does now :-\

As much as i dont agree with how things transpired and i to feel for Harvey but in a wierd way i find myself saying well done Freo,
How that was kept a secret amazes me. Showed a bit of b@lls did Freo it could pay off big time.
