Heart's great run came unfortunately to an end, but i am excelling in fantasy A-League! :) (although not this week it seems so far.....  :-\ )

Team looks like this so far:

Covic
Zwaanjwijk, Franjic, Bosschart
Sanchez, McGlinchey, Dugandzic (C), Nichols
Simon, A Thompson, Berisha
(Tyson, Jurman, Hamill, Watson)
Got 0005k in the bank.

Since using the wildcard in round 8, my scores have been 66, 46, 49, 38, 48, 60. all scores i am happy with. but also, for the FF H2H league, i am 3rd. got the MOST total points, while am 9 win to 4 :)

and yes, Simon will be traded :(

Hate this festive period, having to try and remember to put down the beer occasionally to get the team right  ::)

Splendid 11 hours of football yesterday. Only traded in Simon last week before the Sth Korea news broke - went the double gamble. Made him Captain and bet on him to score. Was feeling pretty smug 18 seconds into the game  ;D Got 130k in the bank, so need to go shopping for a new striker this week, and would say also fix up defence, but with so few clean sheets, seems a waste to spend coin there...

Gold CF!!! On re-reading this, can easily see how that could be taken that way - I wish!
It was only a $20 on him, and another $20 on Vidosic to score too. Brought him in this week for Emerton - ended up costing me 2 points, so glad he could contribute in other ways  ;)

I completely forgot about the massive Wednesday of fixtures so didn't get to adjust my side at all! After scoring a pretty good 53 last week I have only scored 12 this week!! Well actually will be 19 once Babalj and Hamill come off the bench, but that is still really poor!!

Ouch, that's tough CF! Think you will be far from the only one that didn't change the team around this week, seems like a lot of high and low scores, not as many in the middle. Start planning for this weekend and bounce back quickly!

Yeah the thing is I think it's a pretty good team, just didn't perform well this week. This is my current team (the same lineup as how it played yesterday).

Covic was meant to be playing ahead of Tyson but forgot to swap that back, and Thompson was still captain. Obviously Carle isn't playing at the moment but Babalj is doing well for me when he doesn't play so don't want to trade him as I probably wont be able to afford him when he is back playing.

Any suggestions on what I should do BS?
I guess I should trade Nakajima since he is now starting on the bench. If I did I would have 151k to spend since I have 26k in the bank...

I would be looking to maybe trade Nakajima for Halloran? Cheap and performing very well. Amini is starting to perform really well. That would free up some cash. Another issue would be the three Heart benchers. Although a great team ;) Just might not work in FAL. The two Sydney defenders might not work either.
Now i know you wont be able to fix that all up in one week, but just some things to think about..

CrowsFan - went to take a look at this, but the A League Fantasy website is screwy. Can load last round's points, but can't access my team or transfers at present. Once I can get back into that, can look at your options.

All of You - A few things to note for the upcoming game rounds.

* There are no games Friday this week, so you have until 5.25pm Saturday before lockout.
* Perth have their next 3 games away from home. History says that makes Glory players fantasy poison for a few weeks.
* Be interesting to see what CCM do without Simon - does this mean more game time for Hearfield, or even a return to the line-up for the forgotten man Kwasnik??? Ibini looks a must as a striker in form, for a team in form.

Round 15 (this week) is normal.

Round 16 - Double games for both Sydney, Heart, Perth & CCM (canny players will score nicely this week  ;))
CCM - Newcastle (H), Heart (A)
Perth - Heart (A), Sydney (A)
Sydney - Roar (A), Perth (H)
Heart - Perth (H), CCM (H)

Round 17 - Double games for Newcastle & Adelaide
Newcastle host Wellington, then Adelaide.
Adelaide are away to CCM before heading to Newcastle - two tough away games, so think twice before loading up on the resurgent Reds.

Round 18 - Doubles for Victory & Cold Coast
Victory host both Sydney & Gold Coast. Gold Coast face CCM at home before heading south. - Would normally say jump on board Victory players, but not in their current form. This round is at the end of Jan, so have time to assess first.

Some clever trading will see you boost clear of the pack. As per last year, I was happy to accept a 3 point loss and make 2 trades for most of these weeks. If picking the right cattle, you will have the 3 points returned with interest! Try and plan a few weeks ahead though, or you could find yourself with a patchy team come the end of these double-game rounds.

The A League trading period opens in approx a week too, so keep your eyes peeled for any new signings that could affect starting line-ups. Can often score some nice bargains, and also add a few points of difference to your team.

Looks like back to the standard 5 games a week after that until the end of the season. Also bear in mind the Olyroos players will be missing for up to 3 games in mid to late Feb, so make sure you are not loaded with quality youth - nice in practise, but will kill you when Jurman, Nichols, Hammill etc go missing.

OK Guys, start planning and let's see if we can't get the FoxSports league even higher - up to 6th now  ;D

Is anyone else have problems with the A League Fantasy site?

I can access last week's points, but no joy when I click on the My Team or Transfer tabs. Just won't load. They want to get this fixed pretty soon, some serious homework is required in preparation for the next month....
