Adding salt to my wound was the talented Reds defender SCORED in our 2-2 draw with Sydney FC  >:(

Ahhh , good to be back after a week of beer and shunning the laptop.

Carle & Broich still out, Nichols and Smeltz 50/50 at best Jurman sucking, Roar no longer reliable - damn, December has been tough!

Think I will ditch Carle & Smeltz for Simon & Emerton. Takes the 3 point hit and hope for the best. Some great clashes this round, and with another full round of matches of Jan 4, combined with the regular Festive PL schedule, always makes these happy times  ;D

Antonis to Boschaart is a bit of a wasted trade considering they are both defenders for Sydney roost. Also Antonis more likely to score points since he actually plays in the midfield...

I understand what your saying CF (and in the short term I agree with you) but I played my wildcard this week and wanted best result for my trades over the journey. Boschaart has been the better scorer over the season, keeps my spread of players from different teams in the same structure and has not had Antonis injury concerns. What gave me the irrits the other night was, as predicted, Antonis came off early (as they nurse him back) but he scored sooooo damn well (6pts) and Boschaart earned himself a yellow (for a return of -1pts)  >:( - All in all a 7 point loss for me this round out of that particular move, but at least I won't have to cop a -3 next time Antonis gets injured or has 'general soreness'.
Adding to my pain was I decided to leave Hamill on the pine (6pts) so I could bring Griffiths in up forward.

I'm planning on watching Sánchez stocks improve a little (had the start last night and a nice 12pter two weeks ago) and will trade him to Slory (5th mids aren't often used anyway) to create some extra coin when the time is right. Using the wild card has only left me with 4k  :(

After nearly 50 days without a goal being scored by the home side at Hindmarsh we get up 2-0 against Wellington and there is NOT ONE story in the paper, very very poor effort. Instead there are a plethora of write-ups that seem to have been  generically written up (ala Star Sign predictions style) that were put in by Journos on holidays, just to fatten out the paper a little it would seem.

I had Babalj and Hamill on the bench! Both scored 6 points. Lucky for me Carle didn't play so Babalj will come on, just need someone else not to play to get Hamill's score...

Looks like I made the right choice putting Tyson in goal instead of Covic :)

Tyson got 8 points and Covic has conceded a goal :D
