Funny you should ask that Jake, he has made my Best Buys list based on Round 1. Here we go:

Booms:
Firstly the expensive lads
Griffiths (New) 10 points, $203k
Dugandzic (Heart) 13 points, $154
OK, so these guys both scored 2 goals this week, and we know not to expect that on a regular basis but they ARE in form. If only selecting one, I'd head for Dugandzic, offers better value as a midfielder
Nichols (Bris) 8 points, $202k Love his work rate and will be in enough action with Roar to steadily accumulate points. Has a stated aim of 10 goals for the season and reckon he might eclipse that.
Greenacre (Well) 6 points 176k Started last season on fire too, just make sure you keep an eye on his form

Now the bargains
Covic (Vict) 13 points, $150 - Could ask nothing more from his debut, simply stunning in a great week for class keepers.
Rojas (Vict) 2 points, $151 - Looked damn impressive and expecting some good scores from him
Foschini 5 points, $101K & Fabio 5 points, $150K (Both Vict) Cheap defenders scoring points is always a bnous
Germano (Heart) 2 Points, $75k
Antonis (Syd) 6 points, $102k
Jurman (Roar) 6 points, $127k
Nakajima-Farran, 3 points, $100k Name is a mouthful, and many wingers will struggle to hold him too
Brown (GC) 7 points, $126k Wonderful goal this week, but keeper had a broken rib and should have made better effort
Andrezinho (Perth) 3 points, $151k Left the game early, but looks a real handful

Busts (This is based on either pre-season hype or over-inflated prices)
Bridge (Syd) -1 D*ckhead got himself sent off and faces another 2 weeks on the sideline now
Baird (CCM) 0 Always been hopeless, and no different no he has left Perth
Tiago (New) 0 - Came with huge wraps but got found out too regularly for a top line defender
Ifill (Well) - 1 Went off injured inside 60min
Solarzano 1 /Allsopp 2 (Both Victory) - Good luck picking who will play each week, think they are both to avoided for now until the team settles, particularly with Fat Cat set to return this week.

*** Don't go looking for Perth's goal scorer of last week, Billy Mehmet. For some strange reason, he hasn't appeared in Fantasy land yet, hopefully the boffins @ FoxSports get that rectified this week, and soon.

Rojas or Archie Thompson?

Rojas for value, Thompson for overall points.

Need to check the Victory team sheet this week though - Archie had 6 stitches after a bad tackle last week. He has trained this week, and loves playing Adelaide, so should start but could be in for an early shower if either team is well on top.

I can't see (a fat) Hernandez replacing (tiny) Rojas in the line-up this week, but it is hard to pick how Victory will manage all their attacking options (Solarzano, Fat Cat, Kewell, Rojas, Allsopp). Bit of a lottery picking who will play the full 90 (or at least 60) each week.

He looked quite good in the game VS Victory and he seems to be playing as a pretty attack minded mid.
For 102k, why not?

people like Duganzdic and Griffiths, will they spark early in the season, but fail to put the field alight into the season? (like Greenacre last year)

I doubt Duganzdic or Griffiths will score 2 goals in one game for the rest of the season. :P
I'd wait one week, unless they didn't make the starting 11 in Rnd 1.
