A stat about Sergio Can't Strijk - last season when he won the Golden boot he had 57 strikes for 19 goals, this season he's had 52 strikes for 7 goals. Pelican even had the gall to blame the delivery for HIS poor conversion  ::)

Rini Coolen's win/loss/draw record is BETTER than Kosmina's thus far, both have/had only won 2 games, with Rini on the better side of the loss/draw ledger  >:(

Cassio is staying out of the Reds side travelling to Uzbekistan (or wherever they're playing) for their ACL match due to the uncertainty of his eligibility to be in the side following his refusal to leave the pitch back in 2010's ACL campaign.

Look Kossie, take 'em across to the Governor Hindmarsh when you get back from overseas, get 'em together and get 'em absolutely pole axed on Coopers. They're getting smashed on field and waking up the next day not giving a shower, go get 'em smashed off field and at least they'll wake with something to remind them of the night before - a hangover.

....or get 'em into ACL final and you'll be touted as the Reds equivalent of Malcolm Blight.

Explanation please.

Why did Hamill spend the entire night on the pine?

BlueStorm

He seems to be the main casualty of Colosimo getting his starting gig back Rooster. I thought Heart would rotate him & Good every few weeks, as both youngsters have carried a fair load this season, but Good has won the spot over the last few weeks, and his goal last night should ensure a start for a few more weeks yet!

Luigi197

I must say, in reality, i prefer Good over Hamill.

AM SO GUTTERED! I really hope something miraculous happens with my fantasy team this week. Only 4 weeks left, and there are around 60 points to catch up on!

BlueStorm

Rest easy Luigi, there is still 8 weeks left. Remember, it includes finals.

A lot of teams are quite similiar come finals as there is a smaller talent pool to choose from (they are generous with transfer allowances post regular season). Much comes down to Capt selection in the last 4 weeks.

BlueStorm

Oh Luigi, how I weep...

Ignoring the crap Victory result, my one trade COST me 3 points - Vidosic (2) for Fat Cat (-1)!  :'(
There is no way FC's second yellow will be upheld, so hoping to have him back this week, but just wanted to emphasise the point - I made the deadline, and you should still outscore me. Can't take a trick sometimes  ;)

Luigi197

on 19 points.

am hoping Sanchez doesnt play, and Halloran does good. that way both Halloran and Risdon can come off my bench.
but thank God for Carle! an Assist! so foreign in my team this week! -.-

also just realised i am versing 1st on the ladder in our FF league! :( losing my 10

Luigi197

Hmm... It is interesting setting out my tactics this week.
Covic vSydney or Tyson vNewcastle? to start.

Berisha vAdelaide, Thompson vSydeny, Carle vVictory? for Captain.

Smeltz is back, we all are hating Van Dijk. A trade on the cards?

BlueStorm

For what it's worth Luigi, I'd play Covic over Newcastle, but I am running about 30/70 on the 50/50 calls  :-[

I am thinking of dumping Van Dijk for Griffiths. In an ideal world, I'd pick Brockie instead, but he often doesn't see out a game while Griffiths logs consistent 90 min stints. Will prob trade Hallaron to Dugandzic too. Youngster is missing another week with injury, and not much of a team to come back to.

Captain - Either Berisha or Griffiths for me, which will ensure Archie gets his hat-trick this week. Seriously, if I didn't already have to unload VD, I would have be tempted to trade Archie. Sob... :'(

I only hesitate because he is coming back from injury. Perth have played (largely) well in his absence, so may come off the bench this week. Just a hunch.

Also, remember the teams that have travelled this week for ACL duties. Roar had a home game, but the Reds went to Uzbekhistan (and won), while CCM went to China (and drew). Have to take a toll on both teams this weekend, particularly in the second half. If I was the coach  ;), I'd send in Smeltz at 60min when the CCM defenders are doing it tough.

Luigi197

I might wait a week on Van Dijk.
See how he goes this week; and see how Smeltz returns, and how the Newcastle strikers go against the Gold Coast.

Van Dijk spent the first 50 mins or more on the pine in Uzbekistan, complaining of 'tightness' in his lower back and hammers after the long trip (and remeber it was a long trip back too) With A league season over for Reds, I wouldn't be surprised that Van Dijk is given less TOG and managed over the next two weeks ahead of our next ACL match.
Galeckovic has said on radio the only thing driving them for the remainder of the A League season is that they can finish in front of Victory still  :D

;D And we BOTH ain't that good  ;)

Adelaide and Melbourne under Clive Palmer's FA will amalgamate and be known as 'The Crayons' - well they both looked better on paper this season and melt away if too much heat is applied :P
