Yep BS I am having the same problem! It better be fixed by tomorrow or there will be some very angry people!!

BlueStorm

I THINK that is good news that it is not just me  ???

Until the site is fixed and I can find you some decent replacements, these are the areas that need work I reckon.
Obviously you can't do all these in one week (presume you have used your wildcard?), and forward planning should take into account all the double game weeks mentioned on the last page.

Get rid of:
Antonis - now being played as a defender again. Tough to have both him & Bosschaart, and as the young man, more likely to be rested in double game weeks.
Nakajima-Farran - he will not get the same game time as last month, particularly when Broich returns. You have made good coin from him, sell him while price is still good
Germano - Again, sell him while high. No sign of when he will be over his injury.

Maybes:
Carle - you would only want to keep him if he will be fit for their double NEXT week (not this week). Too expensive to carry on the bench with no return.
Babalj - Yes, he is in some good form, but cash allowing, see a straight swap to Ibini as a better choice, and more likely than Balbalj to play 180 minutes in the coming double round.

Will keep an eye on the site today, and suggest some replacements.
The Covic-Tyson thing is working well for now,, but think I will sell Covic for Matt Ryan (CCM) next week. Takes advantedge of the double round, and the only keeper looking like having clean sheets at present.

The squads for this week have just been released:

http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/a-league/big-changes-for-big-wednesday-all-the-squads-for-bumper-round-14-of-the-2011-2012-a-league-season/story-e6frf4gl-1226238004113

The highlights:
Inclusions - Smeltz, Zwaansjik, James Brown, Fred (may miss)
Not selected - Broich & Henrique (both listed as a week, this has turned out to be a loooooong one week for both of them), Simon (off to Sth Korea, trade him now!) and Carle is still looking at another two weeks with a hammy, so likely to miss their double round.

Also, press conference for 11am today @ Victory:

http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/a-league/melbourne-victory-coach-mehmet-durakovic-faces-axe-as-the-clubs-board-responds-to-underperforming-side/story-e6frf4gl-1226237897311

Expect Durakovic to get his marching orders. Talk that Farina may be the replacement...

BlueStorm

OK, Durakovic sacked. Muscat interim coach for this week, with a replacement coach to be announced early next week. Let's pray for the Kossie factor to kick-in...

My Chumps

Wow, that's harsh  :o

Hope it works for us...

BlueStorm

Fox Sports A League Fantasy site fixed up now.

CrwosFan, will have a peek and see what options I find.

BlueStorm

CrowsFan - OK, had a chance to look over your options.
Think I would go Nakajima-Farran to Amini, and Carle to Vidosic. Yep, costs you 3 points, but makes the team much stronger. That would give you a line-up for this week of:

Covic
Franjic - Bosschaart - Zwaansjik - Hamill
Dugandzic - Hernandez - Amini - Vidosic
Thompson - Berisha

(Tyson, Balbalj, Antonis, Germano)

Deal with the other issues next week (Antonis, possibly Balbalj)

I will make the one change this week, Simon to Ibini, leaving me with:

Covic
Hamill - Foschini - Bosschaart
Vidosic - Nichols - Sanchez - Dugandzic
Berisha - Thompson - Ibini

(Tyson, Amini, Stefanutto, Jurman) 234k in bank

Next week, Covic to Ryan...

Cheers CF, you can leave the compliments until after the teams go round this week, you might be ready to strangle me come Monday  ;)

Hey BS, i posted my team in a previous post somewhere in the page or the next, but just asking your reasons behind Ibini Sei? i too have Simon, and am wondering whether to Brockie or Griffiths, but am also tempted of Djite.. under the new manager..

thought anyone?

BlueStorm

New Victory Coach - http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/a-league/melbourne-victory-look-set-to-appoint-northern-irishman-jim-magilton-as-their-new-coach-on-saturday/story-e6frf4gl-1226238713695

Will be introduced to the fans before kick off tonight. A medicore record with QPR & Ipswich in the 1st Division - very left field selection, and the board really are on their last chance this time!

Luigi - I dithered over which to chose from Brockie & Griffiths about Round 4. Went with Griffiths, just as Brockie started his golden run, of course  :P I really don't rate many Newcastle players Fantasy-wise. Hard to rely on regular points - they play like millionaires at home, and donkeys on the road. Facing a fired up Victory @ AAMI tonight, not keen on either of them as a reliable front man.

Djite - gave him a chance earlier in the year too, but if you were looking at a Reds striker and have the coin, it must be Van Dijk. Finally hitting some form, takes the penalties, and looks a more attractive proposition.

In saying that, Ibini is still my man. Relatively cheap for a scoring striker, playing front man in a team that looks streets ahead at present, and has a double game round next week. Makes for a no brainer for me, and frees up plenty of coin to get in Ryan (CCM Keeper) next week, and make another upgrade too.

Olyroos Warning - http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/a-league/fox-sports-football-commentator-nick-meredith-questions-value-of-olympic-qualification-for-olyroos/story-e6frf4gl-1226238497147

Mentioned this yesterday, but bear in mind the upcoming Olyroos committments when fiddling with your team over the next month. The article doesn't mention dates, but does say the FFA are keen to get the players together for an extended camp before our last 2 qualifiers - some must win games after a mediocre start to the campaign.

Could be missing our Olyroos players for 3 game weeks, and think this kicks in about mid-Feb.

An sample of who is likely to disappear:
Brisbane - Nichols, Jurman, Visconte
CCM - Amini, Ibini, Ryan
Heart - Dugandzic, Hamill, Good & Behich

I currently have 6 of these guys, and thinking of adding Ryan next week. Sure many of you are in the same boat. No need to panic, we have about 5-6 game rounds to weed them out, but this should be an important factor over a busy trading month.

Luigi197

It seems like Ibini it is, although if i trade him in. I will have Nichols, Jurman, Ibini, Dugandzic and Hamil all in my team.
I think i will try and find a replacement for Jurman (trade him off), just to ease the pain a little as these players will be with the Olyroos, and i already have Franjic anyway.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/soccer/victory-name-new-coach-as-jim-magilton/story-e6frfg8x-1226238703710

THE name Jim Magilton should be well known to British soccer fans.

The Northern Irishman played 580 games, mostly with lower-tier English clubs, although he spent three years and played 27 games at Sheffield Wednesday when the now League One team was entrenched in the English Premier League.

His longest stint at any club came in the twilight of his playing career, when he played 273 games at Ipswich Town between 1999 and 2006, just as the club fell out of the English Premier League.

One of Northern Ireland's best midfielders in the 1990s, he represented the national side 52 times.

After ending his playing career at Ipswich Town he was immediately announced as the club's new manager, staying there until 2009, when he made an ill-fated switch to Queens Park Rangers.

BlueStorm

Oh CrowsFan, fire away! I feel terrible - who knew that Nakajima-Farran would not only play, but score their only goal. To rub in the insult, Vidosic gets subbed at 58 min and costs us another point (I have him too). Did you follow my suggestions? Hoping you had a brilliant moment and went your own way. Sorry...

Loved the Adelaide penalty after putting Jurman & Steffanuto on the bench. Victory very lucky to win 2-1, considering Newcastle scored all 3 goals. That makes 4.5 hours without Victory putting one in the back of the net, 'Magic' has some work ahead of him...
