Done Kewell to Broich as well My Chumps.

My Chumps

Seems the smart thing to do right now Jake :)

Also, when do we get our Olyroo boys back just out of interest?
I'm struggling without them  :P

McRooster

It's the Slory,
Of a man named Andy,
Who spat the chewy and went running to his Mum,
He was sad that he wasn't picked,
And left on the sideline all alone.

Until one day,
The man they call Rini,
Told Andy he could go find some form in the two's,
Mr Slory told him to get flowered,
From behind his box of kleenex tissues.

Then a rumour,
Of a man named Marcos,
Who was not feeling happy at his current home,
Made a phone call to Mr Coolen,
Yes Flores maybe is coming home.

Goodbye Mr Slory,
Or Farewell Andwele,
Coach Rini Coolen was right some might say,
Returning home for 'business adventures',
Is a shower excuse when you just can't play.

Kewell to Broich for me too, means  Slory owes a lot of us 3 points  >:(

I'm lucky I am one of the few without Slory then, was able to focus on other deficiencies in my side.

Just heard the Slory news  :o To be honest, don't care what spin is put on his departure. My temples are already aching trying to see if I can get away with only 2 trades this week to replace him. OK, off to go and crunch some numbers...

Chumps, we miss the Olyroos for this next round, then they are back (and start praying they don't get injured while on International duty  ;))

BlueStorm

OK, took the 3 point hit. Van den Brink to Hamill, Slory to Nakajima-Farran. Not happy to say Bye to VdB, but with them facing Roar this week, and Perth leaking badly, he is just not scoring the points his performances deserve. I do wish A League Fantasy would introduce bonus points a la EPL.

Broken the rule against trading before teams, but Slory's price is already plummetting (back to his starting price), and any cheap options will be rising as a result. If you have a healthy bank, relax. For those on the breadline, don't miss the few options by waiting too late.

Hoping Hamill will continue in a midfield role, giving me cover for Germano. Didn't plan it this way, but really starting to put all my eggs in few baskets - 9 of the starting 11 this week come from Roar (4), Sydney (3) & Victory (2). Two of those teams are having a good year ...  :'(

Luigi197

I'm in a pickle.

Without trades, my team will look something like this:

Covic
Franjic, Rose, Traore, Tsatallios,
Broich, McGlinchey, Abbas
Berisha (C), Simon, Williams

(L Thomas, Jurman (olyroos), Miller (suspended), Slory (retired)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my two H2H leagues, i'm not guaranteed a win in either of them.
My team is lacking firepower with Broich, Berisha, and Simon the only ones as liable Captain options, despite who they are versing.
Got 32k in the bank. Williams (169k), Slory (50k), McGlinchey (170k) and Miller (149k). These people are not doing much good for my team. Williams and Slory might have to go. Miller is playing well, put Perth aren't doing good enough, and McGlinchey might be safe, but i wouldn't mind another X Factor Mid.
FOR THE MIDS: J Brown (161k) and Dugandzic (170k) are good mids, but would have to wait a week or two until they will be back and playing well. Meanwhile, Junglshager (177k) and Vidosic (230k) are other options who are quite consistent. Furthermore, M Thompson (222k), Hernandez (270k), Kisel (175k) and Ramsay (171k) are options that i could take a punt on. Then, for under 110k, there is Sanchez, Germano, Watson, Usacar and Halloran as options.
FOR THE FWD:  A Thompson (240k) and Smeltz (305k) are on the Wish list. Brockie (185k), Griffiths (204k), Macallister (155k), Greenacre (175k) and Ibin Sei (131k) are possibilities. There are no really cheap options except for Ibin Sei.

Yeah... so i am in a pickle:
I need decided if i will make 2 or 3 trades this week to fix up my team and risk it against my opponents. If i am willing to take a few losses untill in two weeks time when i could use my WC. Who i will trade in and out. Who my captain will be. Who will go to the bench if trades are made.

Please help, Luigi :)

Luigi - One main question before we look at options. Why not use the Wildcard now???

You are clearly unhappy with the squad. I would be tempted to keep Covic (& Thomas), Franjic, Broich, McGliinchey, Berisha, Simon & Jurman.

Dump the rest and start again - Miller just doesn't seem to score enough points regardless of how he plays, Williams has proved a big disappointment this season, Abbas is just not getting game time, Rose is over-priced for his return, Traore has done nothing and Tsatallios is only worth keeping as a bench emergency.

Nakajima-Farran is a good cheap pick, but you already have your allocation of Roar players. Germano from Heart is proving handy, Sanchez is a good pick once back from injury in a week or two (fine for bench if you don't need him this week), Bosschaart is cheaper than Rose and scoring more points.

Slory is dropping value almost by the hour at the moment, so the longer you leave it, the lower your return.

I won't tell you what your priorities should be, but I am much more concerned with overall points that Head 2 Head league, which is a side amusement for me. I can't see how holding the WC for another 2 weeks will help you - you will leak points and lose league games, and there is nothing earth shattering happening in a fortnight that would justify holding it.

Good Luck! Can give you any feedback if you are weighing up a few options, but would clear the chaff first and then you can start with your wishlist. Don't go cheap on the forwards, you want the best money can buy.

It seemed to good to be true that the cheapest player in the game actually played. Hopefully Ferguson the cheapest player in EPL fantasy starts to play for Newcastle.

BlueStorm

Indeed, it seemed strange that an international player would come in at such a low price, but maybe they knew something we didn't. Guy's heart is obviously not in it anymore, but finding a replacement with tight funds is proving a nightmare for many...

Agreed now that you mention it.
The reason that i thought i would wait a few weeks, was because of my Olyroo Jurman, but i now realise that it doesnt matter...
So yes, i shall use my WC.

First off, reason that you would say to keep Thomas if i am using my WC? Not saying that there are better options, but i would've thought i could've tried to make some profit from his price rise? J Tyson?
Bosschart comes in. Zwaanswijk the flying dutchman i believe will come in handy. Hamill i think has fought well for his spot in the Heart, but either way, he's cheap. Germano the same. Watson is cheap and should keep his price with Cassio out. Sanchez to stay on the bench as he is cheap but is very very good. And then i got A Thompson. In form, both him and Victory. He is their X Factor, and i believe that Kewell will start to make an impact more and help his scoring.
Was considering Brown, but he is on Olyroos duty, but would it be worth it to get him? Dugandzic in a similar situation, although the Heart playmaker, he has only scored goals in 2 games. Junghslager was a contender but instead went the two cheapies and Sanchez in order to get Zwaanswijk and Thompson. Speaking of which, i think Thompson was a good option, but was Zwaanswijk?
Might still fiddle around...
