Turns out the Jurman trade didn't cause me to much mis-hap, as Antonis failed to keep a cleansheet, as did VDB.

And I am damn lucky that i didn't trade out Simon!!

Currently on 51, ranked 824 for the week so far.
Had Berisha Captain.
Have 4 still to play (Covic, Kewell, Abbas and Traore). I can hope that MVC beat Wellington with Kewell scoring, and Covic keeping a cleansheet. And I can either hope that both Traore and Abbas score or Assist, otherwise a 0-0 draw wouldn't be bad.

But still spewing about the Heart Game... We so deserved the 3 points, and Carle came along, and stole 2 of them! (leaving us only 1 point)

Traded in Antonis (1), VnBrink (0), Degandzic (2) - why didn't he get credited with the assist?, praying Griffiths bucks the trend this arvo.

Screw you Luigi ;) After I suggest to hold Simon, you laugh at our Smeltz misfortune!

Perhaps the karma bus came back to bite you - shouldn't have even been a Sydney corner when Carle broke your Heart (pun intended). As another recent addition to my side, he saved my night to be honest.

The two guys I mentioned last week from my other league - one had 2nd overall for the week last week, the other is currently 1st for the round (he has joined the FF league too, Pete Waldie) and should hold on today I think. Going to be a looong season, particularly if Victory don't come to the party this arvo...

Basically a whole team switch up. I have a new stratagie, FILL YOUR TEAM WITH AS MANY BRISBANE PLAYERS AS POSSIBLE :P
Defenders: Rose, Marrone and Mullen traded into Jurman, Foschini, and Good.
Mids: Kewell (dammit!), Meyer into Nicholls and Vidosic.
Fwds: Williams into Smeltz.

Leaving me with:
Covic <Tyson>
Antonis - Jurman - Foschini <Good, Hamill>
Broich - Nicholls - Dodd - Vidosic <Slory>
Smeltz - Berisha - Thompson

Ryan>Covic and Taggart>Berisha. Flower the -3 points!

3 prong attack up front now (Smeltz, Williams and Berisha)

Any more under performing and the Wildcard may be forced out of the deck.

Are there any split multi-rounds this year? ie. where it is beneficial to stack the deck with players from teams playing 2 games in the same round :-\

Antonis and Good out this week may leave a few team short.
Up until last week, the defenders had been the stars - In round 4, half the teams failed to score, which always helps ;) Last week, every team found the back of the net (Roar with depressing regularity...), hurting those who went with a 4 man backline - which includes me, fell 11 to 294 last week.

Rooster - Good move, worth taking the -3 hit. Have to be on Covic, and Berisha will reap billions more points than Taggart would manage. There are no split rounds/double games this year, so nothing to worry about there. For those still holding their WC, might come in handy in a few weeks as the Olyroos jet off - there will be holes in many teams when they fly out.

Luigi - Kewell to Broich sounds a no-brainer, but don't you already have your full allowable allocation of 4 Roar players?

Chumps - A Vast improvement. Think Nichols is one of those who will miss 2 games later this month with Olyroos. Can always play Slory for those weeks, just warning you. Other than that, very solid, and I am always a big fan of playing 3 decent forwards.

Have stuck with Smeltz myself, couldn't bear to have a Roar Captain against my boys.
