who will captain gws in 2012?

it's quite a hard question to answer with no obvious pick like gary ablett at the club yet..

Wait till their recruituing is finalised as there will probably be more to come. Local press in Qld have confirmed that Luke Power will probably be a player with GWS as well. Sheeds has previously said he would look at co captains so maybe Scully is in the mix.

Honestly, I wouldn't have an issue with cornes as the captain. The captain doesn't have to be the greatest player on the field, and cornes could provide the experience and leadership necessary for the young team. Plus, he'll only be playing for a few years tops, which gives time for the youngsters to devlope without the pressure of captaincy, and for the right choice to be made in a couple of years :)

yeah totally agree, cant remember which show but one week at a time or footy classified proposed the idea of taking the captaincy off nick riewoldt. goddard would be a good captain option, and might strengthen the likelihood of him staying
