They won't get much that's for sure... They would be silly to just let him go for free though. He's the son of Ray right? Links to essendon could help us get him if he is Ray's son...

DG

Cornesy and Rowey were talking about a rumour that Carlton would be prepared to offer Jordan Russell for Gunston. They interviewed Sticks a little later on who said that Russell was a required player, but would be pretty happy if that was to eventuate  ;)

Rumour I heard is Russell -> GWS... No way you will get him for Gunston  :-X

Fyfe_gun

do you mean gunston isnt enough for russell because it seems perfect for both parties. russell isnt required at carlton gunston doesnt want to play at crows. Gunston would be the perfect fit for carlton and russell would be adelaides dreams sign seal and deliver it

Not saying it's not a fair deal but I still don't think the crows will get anything near that for him because he could easily just walk...

CrowsFan

Yeah but with many clubs interested in him they will have to offer something good to get him

Not if he nominates a club.

DG

difficult to get to a specific club if he nominates for the draft, no one would pick him up with their first pick i wouldnt have though. May almost be better for the crows if he does nominate a club, at least they could get onto dealing earlier.

interesting as i wouldve have though Essendon needed a player like Gunston.

Obviously they have no idea if we are interested or not as an article the other day was saying we weren't interested even though his dad was on the board & are both mad bombers fans & now they're saying we're keen?  ???

Maca24

I'd love to have him, but wouldn't want to give to much away.
Gumbleton and a late pick for Gunston  8)

DG

yeah i wrote that wrong, sorry boomz! that's what i saw too. but making something up doesnt sound like the media  ;)

DG

Is gumbleton that bad, or it is the injuries that are the concern? i must admit i havent watched a great deal of Essendon the last year or so, but a lot of Essendon people seem to want to see the back of him

He was alright last year when he got on the park (Was still carrying a back injury most of the year) & he has massive potential but his body is shower... We won't give him up though coz he's contracted and we'd look like idiots if he gets a break with his injuries.
