Imo he would be a good fit at the lions at chf and move Browny to ff which would extend his career and give them a potent forward line
Agree 100% with this and throw in Karnezis who can find the ball and has strong overhead mark is very appealing.

KURT Tippett will remain a Crow, for now at least.

'The tall Queensland-born forward had been strongly linked to Gold Coast and the Brisbane Lions in the past couple of days but Adelaide CEO Steven Trigg said the club had no intention of moving on Tippett, who is contracted for 2012.

We have no intention to do any deals to trade Kurt and he will play for us in 2012," Trigg told The Weekend Australian.

Trigg also denied Tippett had an escape clause in his contract.'

DG

im not saying it isnt true, but where did this exit clause story come from?

Ringo

DG I suspect their was speculation that he may have had a get out clause if change of coach was involved.  A number of players these days have this clause inserted in contracts. Twigg was probably just reaffirming he does not have this clause.

CrowsFan

Nah ringo the clause that has always been said was that he could choose to go home to the gold coast at the end of his contract next year in exchange for a second round pick. Nothing to do with change of coaches ;)

Ringo

Thanks for the clarification on Tippett's contract CF.

DG

still plenty of talk that Tippett will go, hate to say it, but starting to think its more than likely...

Starting to think it wouldn't be that bad if he did go. Him and Walker just don't seem to work well together in the forward line. Walker plays really well when Tippett isn't there so wouldn't mind having Walker as the focal point of our attack

DG

It wouldnt be the end of the world, but would prefer him to stay for another 8 years...

Voldemort

Tippett is an exceptional athelete, but he isnt a great footballer, in the future Adelaide should work on getting Walker as good as he possibly can get and trade off Tippett for a larger amount of dough

I'd give Tippett time. He is still very, very young.

Travis Cloke went from 'potential' to 'elite' this year. James Podsiadly became a premiership full forward at the age of 30. Leigh Brown and Mark Jamar are other examples of big guys taking a while to develop.

A fully functioning Tippett-Walker forward line is a dream for Adelaide. Teams are much better with 2 good key forwards.

ajjewell

With Clark going to the Dees it might give the Lions the picks necessary to tempt the Crows into giving him up, which would benefit the Crows more in the long term imo

the thing is Tippett and Walker dont function well together... When is not playing the other has an above-avg game

There is talk today that Trigg would be happy with a Redden and pick 8 swap for Tippo..
Sounds like a good deal for someone who is going to leave next year anyway.

Redden and Pick 8?? That's a stiff price.

Redden and a third round would be more likely for me. Redden has the potential to be a solid midfielder for years
