With Kurt tippet almost certain to fly away to the beaches and sun on the gold coast how can the crows keep him??

I found it..eureka.

Kurt cited one of his main reasons to leave was family and to play with his brother.

Why not bring his family to him.

If you have been living under a rock for the last couple of weeks joel tippet has been cut by gold coast leaving him open to other clubs. Joel Tippet may just hold the key to crows worries.

If joel was to enter the draft he would probably slip below 30 seeing he was a rookie listed player who got delisted from the wooden spooners... its the name that brings the interest.

I think you get where i am heading

crows draft jtip crows keep ktip and ktip and jtip bolster crows foward/ruck worries and carry them to their next premiership

PowerBug

But he's not good enough to make the team. Will the criws buy Jtipp just so they can keep Ktipp?

Fyfe_gun

he was a first year kpp surely no-one except darling and zac smith can play a full good season in their first season. If he was at crows he could learn off his brother and turn out to be just as valuable

Not really a first year player having been on the rookie list at Brisbane a few years ago. He is 23 now and hasn't really shown any promise of becoming a good player. I wouldn't want him at Adelaide.

Also if Tippett is to leave then I would prefer he leaves now when we will get some value for him. Because he can choose to leave next year and all we would get is a second round pick!

+1
if he wants out, grant him his wishes and get something for him

Spot on. Move him on and get someone worthwhile.

It's a bit sad, the situation at Adelaide at the moment.
Loosing so many good players  :-\ Really going to be hard for them in the future.
Maybe in future they should just try to draft local players lol  :P

Gunston, Davis, Bock, and Tippet all leaving. Dangerfield a possibilty next year as well.
Thank god you signed Vince and Walker, or else you would have been flowered.

Well Dangerfield did say If Craig goes so do I. Wonder if he backs it up or awaits the new coach appointment?

Rumour is that Gold Coast may be offering Draft pick 4 for Tippett who wants to return home.  This is probably a win win for both if it turns out to be true. I know Day and Gorringe have been mentioned as possible trades but I think Adelaide should accept Draft pick 4 if offered as it will more beneficial long term.

DG

im still not sure what id prefer, but i think sanderson will back himself to keep Tippett beyond next year. I think there is more chance of the crows recruiting JTippett to try and help KTippett to stay.

If we do trade a player though, id be surprised if the crows accepted Gorringe, I think they'd jump at Day though.

Win-Win. Hope that trade eventuates as I have a soft spot for Gold Coast.
Adelaide could get a good player as well. Dom Tyson or Chad Wingard (Local kid) would be great for them.
Also would make Walker the focal point down forward.

valkorum

You prob not going to like this but I say trade him to GC now as his price will be high and GC have enough to offer to make it worthwhile (you wont get pick #4 though)

I think Walker is a better forward and he seems to play better when Kurt isn't there.  The 2 of them just dont seem to work well together.

Brisbane may be now entering the market for him Extract from John Ralph's article on club trades:

With Jonathan Brown only having a handful of years left, the perfect replacement would be Kurt Tippett.

Gold Coast might struggle to fit him into the salary cap, and Brisbane is likely to have room and the picks to throw at him.

They butchered the Brendan Fevola trade, but Tippett is younger and a more solid citizen.

Lions football manager Dean Warren admitted an interest recently.

''He is a Queenslander, he is obviously an exceptional athlete and he is becoming a terrific player.

''With Jonathan Brown entering veteran status over the next couple of years he would be a perfect succession plan for Brownie. We need to explore it.''

Gold Coast have confirmed he is now off their radar as well.

Imo he would be a good fit at the lions at chf and move Browny to ff which would extend his career and give them a potent forward line
