How do we feel after that game?

I've had a couple of days to think about it now and calm down.

Although I knew it was round 24, with nothing to gain, I was still shattered by the result. I thought by the end of the game we would have a genuine idea of what to expect come finals time. I now have more questions then before.

Are we still the best team in the comp?

Are we that much worse than the cats? Are they now the team to beat?

Did we roll over at the first sign of a challenge, with an outlook towards the following week?

Are our key players, Cloke, Tarrant, Swan and co hurting from a long season? Or were they just conserving themselves for the finals?

I believe we did roll over mid way through the second quarter. But I fail to see how a 96 point flogging at the hands of our main rivals is going to be helpful. I'm not saying this yo take anything away from the cats performance.

I have so many questions with very few answers.

All I know is I can't wait to take on the eagles and get this weekend behind us.

I simply think that the Pies issue was they were just a little off as they had less to play for than Geelong. Same as Geelong the week before.
The old cliche of "the loss we had to have" not that I think anyone will say it. But just think how hungry the Pies will be this week to play well, smash the Budgies and put rnd 24 behind them as well. Not to mention you will have some pretty good ins this week.

In '07 they lost the 2nd last game of the year. Result: Premiers

In '11 they lost the 2nd last game of the year. Result: ???

Last time they lost at home was rd 21 '07. That was to the runners-up of that year.
They lost to Sydney this time round, will they play the Swans in the GF?

They didn't lose either of those games. The Hawks one was only 3 points, that's not a loss. And the Cats game was 95 points, that's a thrashing.

There is no point. The fact is all that matters and whether you lose by a point or 150points. It is still losing and it is still a loss.

I think PB is trying to convince us that Port only lost to us by 7, so they really won.
