Absolute pathetic from Arsenal. Djourou, Arshavin, Walcott and Ramsey all need to go. Djourou has no idea about positioning. Arshavin should have gotten 10 red cards. I don't care if Walcott scored. He is crap. Can't run with the ball. Ramsey is not the creative force that Cesc was. The thing is, he hasn't showed signs or glimpes of it either. Btw, that's 3 red cards in 3 matches as well.

No excuses but Anderson is a c***. Thinks he was in a league with Ronaldo and Nani back in the days. Not close and never will be. Unsportsmanlike with the shower he was pulling off when United had free kicks. As soon as he went off none of the other united players try to pull that shower.

Anyways, back to Arsenal. AW has left it too late with his stubbornness. He refused to adapt with changing times like SAF did. Now it's too late. During the last 6 years, he should have acted about 3 yrs ago. Back then, Arsenal were still the 3rd biggest team in England. However he still persisted with his stupid pet project with the kids. Every season it was "Just wait til next season when the kids get experience". Last season, especially when Kenny came back to Liverpool, AW should have reacted. Suarez for $25m was a bargain. That's wat you need to pay for WORLD CLASS players. The only reason Arsenal finished 4th was cause Roy Hodgson stuffed Liverpool up in the first half of the season.

Anyways with City splashing cash for a while now and Liverpool looking strong, he barely does anything this pre season. If Nasri and Cesc were happy, then it might have been ok. However everyone knew they wanted to leave. Nasri even said he wanted to see AW sign a few good players so he can show that Arsenal can contend b4 inking a new deal (money was probably the main factor still). AW signs Gervinho and more under 20s. Wat ambition! Also, the club's refusal to change the wage structure isn't gonna bring in any experienced star players. The point is, we are not in a position anymore to established good players anymore. Even if AW was to change his policy on not overpaying slightly, who in their right mind would wanna come expect for players that need to prove their talents. After that they are just gonna leave like Nasri and Hleb etc.

Looks like AW got his wish of only signing under 20s and he has flowered the club up with his personal pursuits. Unless this changes b4 the transfer deadline, Arsenal are a sinking ship and the captain RVP looks set to be the next to jump ship when he is in the same position as Nasri next year in terms of contracts. To be honest, I also heard that it's the board that may be twisting AW's arm in terms of finances. Why can't we have a sugar daddy take us over instead of this American guy who is never gonna spend. It's gonna be like Liverpool with their old owners.

Sorry bout the rant guys but I think I got everything out  :).

Sorry but how was what he was doing at free kicks unsportsmanlike? The way I saw it he was just ready for any rebound from the free kicks if they came, showing he wanted to score goals Unlike Rosicky from Arsenal who showed no interest whatsoever. If you watch Rooney's first goal Rosicky in the wall doesn't even bother looking round to see what happens.

Arsenal really need to change their attitude at the moment. The way Walcott and Jenkinson were arguing on the pitch just before Welbeck's goal was just amateurish!

Dzeko on fire this season! I knew he was good cos I watched him when in Germany, but that form didn't translate over to the EPL when he moved in January. Looks like he is finding his way again! Considering trading Aguero down to Dzeko at the moment to use the cash elsewhere as they are both playing and getting excellent service from the others...
I don't follow the German league but like Wolfsburg because of the name :P. I have had Dzeko past 2 weeks :D. But came at the cost of Rooney being out (Dang me choosing Lamps over him >:().

Agree with you BlackMamba. Wenger shouldn't wait to spend on players. He has the chance to pick up Mertesacker for a Bargain but isn't going for him (instead going for Jagielka/Cahill). Liverpool have gone for more English talent, but they dojn't mind spending some cash. The side is too young to contend for top place in the EPL and such a shame of what they use to be.

wat a bench!! best ive ever seen in the EPL

Just shocking by the gunners i wonder how they would go agianst a bottom half team with the same 11 they would prob lose

Can't really say the team is too young HP when you look at the age of the United team last night ;)

Jones (19), De Gea (20), Welbeck (20), Smalling (21), Cleverley (22), Evans (23), Anderson (23), Nani (24), Rooney (25), Young (26), Evra (30)

Giving an average age of just 23.0

Arsenal's starting XI was:
Jenkinson (19), Ramsey (20), Coquelin (20), Szczesney (21), Traore (21), Walcott (22), Djourou (24), Koscielny (25), van Persie (28), Rosicky (30), Arshavin (30)

Giving average age of 23.6

So United had a younger team ;)

Considering the talent in comparison, it's pretty obvious Man U have spent well on their Youths who can play at EPL standards.

P.S Meant inexperienced but probably used the wrong word in context. Nice research by the way CF :P.

CrowsFan

Haha thanks HP, just finding more and more ways to avoid doing uni study :P

elephants

Come on CF.
Anderson was clearly blocking schenzy's view of the ball. No rules against it and i think it was clever but you can't claim he was oblivious to the fact he was blocking. He was laughing when doing it!!! Come on. :)

CrowsFan

He was standing behind the wall.
The wall is blocking Szczesny's view ;)

elephants

The wall left a gap for (insert the incredibly tough to spell arsenal keepers name.) so he could see through it. Anderson blocked it. That's that. If you can remember back to Alexs goal for Chelsea against arsenal (the awesome free kick) I believe Malouda did what Anderson was doing as well.

BoredSaint

what anderson did was nothing compared to what defoe did against man city for their goal..

pretty much stood in front of hart just to block his view even though he was like 2 metres offside

BlackMamba

Yeah I am just frustrated so sorry for that rant against Anderson. I have never seen what Anderson was doing happen in other games Usually when you send a man into the defence's wall, their back faces the GK with every1 else (though elephants mentioned a Chelski game). Anderson faced the keeper so he could see where Szczensy was moving and was also pulling all sorts of faces. Anyways IMO it's not in the spirit of the game but I suppose it's still within the letter of the law as there is no rule against it and is probably based on the ref's professional judgement on what to do (Webb had no idea last night about anything in that game). As a professional player, Szczensy probably should have been able to block out those images lol.

Yeah Walcott really gave me the showers last night especially when he was arguing with Jenkinson. The poor kid had to defend the entire right side himself cause Walcott can't defend and barely gave any effort on the defensive end. Then you see Walcott yelling at him and I am thinking who does Walcott think he is. We need reinforcements bad so that Walcott needs to fight for his spot and stop acting like boss.

Did you just compare Aaron Ramsey a 20 or something year old to Cesc Fabregas???

you have got to be kidding me.

BlackMamba

By the time Cesc was 20 he was already showing signs of his class. Remember he ripped Viera back in 2006 UCL Juventus game? I think he was 19 then. Wilshere has shown signs of how good he can be as well from last season. Ramsey on the other hand, I don't people will ever go back to their best/ reach their potential after the type of leg break he suffered (remember Eduardo?). Maybe my expectations are too high but after watching our first 5 games this season, I have barely seen signs of a class creative force in the future.
