I think in 2012 with the byes, league and overall strategies will be pretty similar ;)

Do not forget there will be no byes next year so for me there will be a slight change of strategy

pavs nose

yeh there shouldnt be byes with an even number of teams should there?

also i wouldnt say the sub is guaranteed either given abnormallly large injury lists to freo, essendon and hawthorn

Keep atleast 10 trades for the final 5 rounds! Haha.  ::) if only!

This year I limited my Carlton, Geelong, North & Essendon players and made sure any that I had I traded out in the latter part of the season due to finals byes. Next year I will go all out to get the best team as there will be no byes. This means for me, no restrictions. As always I am also weary of second year players who have performed really well in their first year.

Still early stages, but I have a feeling I will be going mid field heavy.   Could be 5-6 premiums in the mids.  But basically I will be building the team up from the mid field first.

Saying that, a lot will be dependent where the mature age recruits are located and their preseasons.

Rucks, anything can happen at this stage, depending on movement during trade period and preseason.

These should be read in order after the previous one is failed.

Strategy 1: Quit and get a less stressful hobby.
Strategy 2: Ruin other family member's team so I can win without trying.
Strategy 3: Try and quit again.
Strategy 4: Ignore SC and focus on uni work.
Strategy 5: Play SC and dog and moan about showerty luck. (This always succeeds).

load up on players from the best teams like people used too.

go for fallen premiums who have been carrying injuries.  e.g picking up Brown, Didak, Grimes, Barlow, Hayes, Voldt

loading the mids with: Swan, Ablett, Barlow, Hayes, Ziebell, Rookie

no players from Adelaide unless they are under 150k.

i am definatley going to start with a strong midfield, mine this year was still ordinary this week, and i am going to try not to get a cam richardson next year :)

MURRIMAGIC

I reckon there are too many good mid-priced and fallen premiums in the midfield and forward line next year and the backs are always unpredictable early?

It will be a high risk high return year in 2012!

My 2012 strategy

Do everything differently.

CFC 1979

i'll wait to hear the format

less bench cover
no byes
less cash

not going to be as easy as this year

SydneyRox

My strategy is simple - beat all you buggers!!! :)

pothead

i might bring in a few geelong and carlton players in next year as i i only had 2 players in my team that had the bye in final so i might get a few players from those teams
