Pav to have surgery

FREMANTLE captain Matthew Pavlich says his midfield role will have to be reviewed during the off-season as he prepares to have surgery on a hip complaint that has troubled him for a number of years.

This one makes me happy - I would love to see Pav permanently in the forward line.

Pavlich said he had managed his hip complaint for a number of years but it had got to the point where surgery - which he described as a minor tune-up - would be worthwhile.

I would like to see Pav at FF.  He leads very well and can take a contested mark.  I would like to see Morabito being groomed for CHF.  He is just as big as Pav

Pav - 192cm 100kg
Mora - 191cm 97kg

As for Pav, it was probably the right choice on his behalf to get himself 100% for next season, rather than playing injured and possibly causing further damage.

I think most people are surprised at the size of Mora.  He is a big boy and I think he could be a great CHF who pushes up the ground.
