OK, this is just a story telling people about my season of stuffups this year in Supercoach
I've never taken Supercoach seriously til about half way through this season but by then it was too late to fix
I wasted trades early and now its hurting . This is what I've done this year.

Round One - No Trades - Won - 2332 - 2042

Round Two - Out Buckley, In Curnow
                   Out Suban, In R.Tarrant - Won - 2312 - 2290

Round Three - Out Knights, In Dawes
                      Out Gaff, In Liberatore - Won - 2054 - 1981

Round Four - Out Gilbert, In Suban
Out Waters, In Adcock - BYE WEEK

Round Five - Out R.Tarrant, In Coad
Out Bailey, In Z.Smith - BYE WEEK

Round Six - Out Suban, In Shaw
Out A.Krakouer,  In Polec - BYE WEEK

Round Seven - Out Polec, In Foley
                      Out Otten, In Hibberd - Won 1963 - 15

Round Eight - Out Liberatore, In Kerr
                     Out Richardson, In I.Smith - Won - 1972 - 1302

Round Nine â€" Out Harris, In J.Selwood
                         Out Curnow, In Jacobs - Won - 2340 - 2253
(This was the week I began taking it seriously, because it was battle for the top of the ladder, and the person I was going up against said he was going to smash me and go through the season undefeated and all I wanted to do was beat him.

Round Ten â€" Out Duigan, In Suckling
                        Out Tapscott, In Lynch(GCS) - Won - 2243 - 1812

Round Eleven â€" Out Dangerfield, In Goodes
                             Out Irons, In Mzungu - Won - 2127 - 2025

Round Twelve â€" Out Darling, IN O’Keefe(Syd)
                              Out  Matera, In Callinan - Won - 2113 - 2024

Round Thirteen â€" Out Selwood, In Ablett -  Won - 2036 - 1912

Round Fourteen to Round 19 I did no Trades as I was down to 1, Amazingly though I went through all these games Undefeated, even when I was playing with donuts. (Round 16 and 19 were BYE WEEKS)

Round Twenty â€" Out Shaw, In Fisher (LAST TRADE)  - Won - 2412 - 2018

Finished Top of the ladder, 3 Games Clear from 2nd, also Finished Top When Ranked by Total Points

Round Twentyone (1st Qualifying Final) - LOST - 2284 - 2321 Had Lower on field(10?) and Puopolo on Bench (110?)  Lost by 37 Points

Round Twentytwo - Currently Losing by 170 with same amount of players , Opponent had Mitchel Captain, i have Swan Captain, NEED A MIRACLE TO WIN

If i had taken this seriously from the start of the season, i wouldnt have used 3 Trades on Lower, wouldnt have picked up Tarrant and then traded him out, same with Polec ... Theres at least 6 trades i would have either used better in later rounds or still have for the last 2 weeks

The reason im writing this is for me to reflect on my Undefeated season, and to learn from my mistakes and share my personal story with the fanfooty world.

Currently Ranked - 24,321 of 400,563
Highest Rank i got to this Year - 2666
Next year, I'll aim for TOP 1000

Losing by 170 with same amount of players, but they have captain played?
chill out bro, you should be celebrating the fact mitchell only got 91 as your opponents captain, when swan could smash 160+

Edge

well, technically, i had 6 players, his had 5 but with captain... so i count that as 6 from 23 each

and my opponent has swan in his team, so virtually only half swans score will count. .

Midfields are completely different, i have
Swan(C) Pendles, Ablett, judd. Kerr, Foley
against
Mitchel(c), M.Murphy, Dal Santo, Priddis, Montagna (need them to all spud it up)

around the grounds is pretty even

Fwds i got N.Roo, O'keefe, Higgins against
                J.Roo, Cloke, Dangerfield

Defenders Fisher Sucklin Puopolo
against Heppell, R.Murphy, Pederson

and rucks Sandilands vs Bailey

its all gonna come down to how his midfield performs against mine

You beat him is all areas except your midfield, if you are to learn anything from this year, stack your midfield first, thats where most of the points come from.

But also remember, this is a game, no need to lose sleep or be too concerned.  Even if you win your league, everyone will forget about it the following week.

You used 3 trades on Nick Suban??????

yesh... i wasnt really paying attention
i traded him out for some reason i dont remember, then a few weeks later i was like, why dont i have suban in my team? so i got him back in ... my SC at the start was VERY similar to my DT except for a couple rookies on the bench so, i didnt know why i didnt have suban, but then after i got him in he broke his leg so i had to trade him out again ... i honestly dunnno what i was thinking though

and next year, im planning on having a complete premium midfield, semi premium backlin with mid/def players, and rookie/mid price forwards and rucks . but i'll just have to wait til next year to fully determine the setup of my team beofre round 1 lockout.

Bad idea.
Don't start with a full premium midfield. I did this year, started with Ablett, and Hayes. Then got in Bartel and Bolton after the first few rounds as they were killing it.

Ablett had a bad start to the year. Hayes lasted 2 rounds. Bartel did alright then had a bad mid year, starting to get better the last few rounds.
Bolton has had a dud year, except for the first few rounds, and an odd score of 140+, scoring below 90 the rest of the time.

Won't make that mistake twice. And didn't end up having enough trades - so I had to hold on to Bartel.

Im usually pretty good with premiums  when i pick them start of year .. Judd, Swan, Pendles have not let me down, if i was to choose a full premium midfield this year, i woulda had ablett, hodge, thompson and boyd like my dt had this year .

I would start with a very weak midfield and use lots of cash cows in the mids eg this year their were
Curnow
Liberatore
Heppell
Smith
Mzungu
Swallow

And then start with very good defensive and attacking lines as some of these so called guns would spud up eg.
Lynch (GC)
Richardson
Batchelor
Thompson

PICCOLLO

Set systems are good but you've got to adapt them to what is happening in the season.  There is one sure thing you will have to do next year---no trading in first four to six rounds unless LTI to a premium!
