Am asking for advice because I have myself in a pickle and would love other perspectives.
Would the best way to cover Gibbs in the Rd 23 bye be to go

Jacobs > Beau Waters (sub Waters with Gibbs for the bye.)
Chapman > Pendles/Mitchell

or

Gibbs > Waters now.
Chapman > Pendles/Mitchell



Backs: Gibbs, Goddard, Deledio, Birchall, Fisher, Suckling, Stanley (Jacobs, Hunt, Toy)
Mids: Murphy, Swan, Boyd, Ablett, Montagna, Chapman (Callinan, Harris, Bewick)
Rucks: Cox, Petrie (Vardy, Curnow)
Forwards: Franklin, Goodes, Fyfe, Pav, Syvlia, Voldt, Mzungu (Darling, Stevie J, Tippet)

Gibbs to waters.

It makes sense in the fact your defence is pretty sound, and needs some boosting by a big premium mid. Rather then relying on Mzungu to pull out a 100+, Mitch and Pendles will get you that every week.

Tough one mate, you are in a pickle! I think you want Gibbs in your team this week (and I hope after saying that he pulls out a big one)... Next week you're going to be down Marc Murphy and I don't see a lot of cover for him - Mzungu at a stretch... and Waters body is so unreliable, I'd be sceptical about bringing him in during a week you actually don't need him.

I just don't see that the Waters trade this week improves your team.

Think you need to trade out Chappy now - maybe to Liam Shiels as a unique, comparitively priced option, or Scott Thompson.

Pretty much everyone has Gibbs, and a lot of people will potentially be playing their 8th defender to cover, like a Lower / Jacobs type, so you might get away with it next week... and then trade out Murphy!
